Mark Buxton Perfumes Emotional Rescue

Mark Buxton Perfumes has launched Emotional Rescue, a new woody floral fragrance:

Feeling like an acrobat...My heart scalded by love...she left in a whisper...Feeling like an acrobat, perched over the emptiness, one foot steadying on the tightrope of life... What could rescue you ? What makes you feel alive ? What helps you to stand up and enjoy, again and again ...

The notes feature violet leaf, red currant, neroli, blackcurrant, orris, rose, fir balsam, sandalwood and vetiver.

Mark Buxton Perfumes Emotional Rescue is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Nose in France, €140.

Well, this could be an entry in the Prix Eau Faux.

Are the Rolling Stones in court yet? They had a big hit called “Emotional Rescue.” I wonder if that’s where this co. got the idea…

All of Mark Buxton’s perfumes since he discontinued the first crop are named after songs. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye, Sleeping with Ghosts-Placebo, Devin in Disguise-google says Elvis. Black Angel was from the first set, but it is inspired by “an unexpected encounter in an NYC nightclub” so the name might derive from The Black Angel’s Death Song, a song by the Velvet Underground.

I think you can’t copyright song titles, which also explains Killer Queen.

You can’t copyright *any* title – books, plays, whatever…

Stupid copy for this, but the notes sound nice.

They do sound nice. Wonder if this line will make it to the US…or it already has and I’ve already forgotten. Have not tried any of the new ones.
