BCBG Max Azria Bon Genre ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 14 August 2013 4 Comments

BCBG Max Azria Bon Genre

BCBG Max Azria has launched Bon Genre, a new fragrance for women.  The name is taken from the brand’s acronym, which stands for “bon chic, bon genre” — Bon Chic launched last year.

Seductive, mysterious, and intriguing, BCBGMAXAZRIA Bon Genre is a statement-making fragrance inspired by the effortlessly cool sensibility of the urban rocker woman. Both ultra-feminine and daring, BCBG Bon Genre infuses melodic notes of lychee and red berries with spicy black pepper and bergamot. The fragrance opens up into a blend of jasmine noir, tuberose, cardamom, and tiger-lily florals, layering warm amber, Australian sandalwood, patchouli, and black vanilla for a sensual experience that is sure to captivate.

BCBG Max Azria Bon Genre is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Macy's.

Yah — no kidding! But I suppose they have to adapt to the times.

soooo….fruit, berries, citrus with pepper and jasmine/tiger lily ending on vanilla and patchouli? the statement it is making is what? “smell like everyone else in the trendy club”?

I really love (and I am on my second bottle) of the first one BCBGMaxAzria I had high hopes for Bon Chic but even though I’ve tried it a dozen times now from store testers, I can’t love it at all. Spotted Bon Genre today at Dillards so I sprayed liberally, thinking the more I put on, the more likely it would be that I’d love it. I like it, sort of. After the initial burst of some weird, sour beer-type note. Red berries dominate from start to finish but at the end, there is a subtle sandalwood that does come through. At this point in my perfume-loving and collecting, a fragrance has to grab me right from the start. I won’t buy if I have to wait and wait til it gets to the “I like this” stage. But, I do love the bottles of all three of these BCBG scents!
