Nobile 1942 Infinito & Cafe Chantant ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 9 July 2013 6 Comments

Nobile 1942 Café Chantant

Italian niche line Nobile 1942 has launched two new fragrances, Infinito and Café Chantant:

Infinito ~ "A green fragrance,..Taking a break in the starry sky, a time to find inspiration, to dwell on feelings, thoughts, maybe at the foot of a cypress which so enchanted Van Gogh, that found them «beautiful of line and proportioned like an Egyptian obelisk ». These moments often reminded of a heady sense of loss, making us foresee the concept of infinity which always strucked deep the interest of artists, writers, philosophers and scientists. Michelangelo Pistoletto talks about Third Heaven: the happy bond between artificial world and natural world, There’s a magical atmosphere: nocturnal but solar at the same time: full of harmony and beauty, full of Shakespearean poetry." The notes feature bergamot, incense, ginger, cedar, cypress, oak moss, geranium, sandalwood, patchouli, white musk and vetiver.

Café Chantant (shown) ~ "A cheerful buzz, burns of laughter, ladies in stunning evening gowns whose chypre perfumes are blended with gentlemen’s tobacco, ready to enjoy the show from their table in the front row. No matter what is their social status. Even ladies, regularly attending the Cafes had fun by imitating the gestures and clothing of those women who drove so crazy their men ... the “Sciantose”. A full-Italian folk, which flavour delivers pleasure to everyone." Notes include cherry, laurel, anise, heliotrope, iris, benzoin, patchouli, vanilla and musk.

Nobile 1942 Infinito and Café Chantant are available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum

I fear something may have been lost in translation on the copy for these.

One, the melancholic artist, the other, a cheerful buzz, sounds a bit bi-polar in description. Just what I thought of! Not trying to poke fun at that, just that’s what I thought of.

I liked their chocolate scents, that’s all I have tried from this line. And I think the Van Gogh cypress appeals to me:)
