Niche line Mona di Orio will launch Violette Fumée, a new addition to the Les Nombres d’Or series, this fall.
Violette Fumée was developed by the late Mona di Orio for the brand's co-founder Jeroen Oude Sogtoen, and features lavender, bergamot, pipe tobacco and violet.
Mona di Orio Violette Fumée will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

Update: see a review of Mona di Orio Violette Fumée.
Oooh. This sounds gorgeous. After Violet Blonde and Balenciaga I was hoping someone would release a more oomphy violet.
Hope you will love it then!
have you tried Liz Zorn’s Violets and Rainwater? Can’t get oomphier on the violet (more oomphy?)
xo
Sounds really good. Poor Mona..she died because of a bad reaction to anesthesia, no? That’s pretty scary and sad..not to be a downer..it’s just a little sad every time I see her name.
Complications from surgery is all I know — could be.
I think I am going to Lemm
That’ll cost you 😉
I am wondering if Mona herself really created this and the other two that were launched after her death, or if the company just uses her name to keep up the interest of the costumers. Anyway, I just tried one of their scents, the Vanille one, and heavily disliked it. But I usually like violet, so I may give this a try.
They say she did, but obviously I cannot confirm. So far, have not loved anything from the brand.
This sounds wonderful, looking forward to trying it. From the description, it sounds like she created this as a personal scent for her partner and they are now commercializing it, similar to the story behind Le Parfum de Thérèse.
