Lanvin will launch Lanvin Me in April. The new fragrance for women promises to embody elegance, style and Parisian chic.
Me was developed by perfumer Domitille Bertier; notes include mandarin, blueberry, licorice, rose, tuberose and sandalwood.
Lanvin Me will be available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Lanvin Me is a floral gourmand.
Another update: see a review of Lanvin Me.
‘Licorice’ – I’m outta here.
There are a few licorice / anise perfumes I like. But licorice + blueberry might be stretching it. Anyway, Lanvin has not been doing a spectacular job w/ fragrance these days.
and mandarin on top! (I otherwise like some licorice)
Again with the Chanel/Guerlain-“inspired” bottle! Lovely design, folks, but there are so many others. Ideas are the cheapest things ever; if one doesn’t work, come up with another!
I wouldn’t dismiss this without smelling first. On the strength of Arpege, I at least have to give this a shot. Lists of notes often do not correspond to the fragrance emanating from your wrist upon spraying.
Quite so — but I’m reacting more to Lanvin’s modern output than the list of notes. There’s nothing in the modern line that would make you think this was the house that made Arpege.
Q: What scent are you wearing?
A: me
Q: Yes you! Who do you think I’m talking to – the cat?
Actually there is almost an endless potential for bad jokes here:
‘I’ll take a bottle of Me in 100mls’
‘Me? I’m not for sale.”
‘Buy Me, because you are worth it!’
‘I love the scent – I wish I smelled just like Me’.
‘I wouldn’t mind if everyone on the tube smelled like Me.’
”Wherever you go – someone is wearing Me!’
And now I’m having trouble stopping:
the 2014 Lanvin release is going to be ‘Myself’ and for 2015, there is rumours of ‘I’. The three together are being sold in a coffret called ‘Narcissism’.
-Buy it: you are worth it!
great gift idea, I know a couple of people who would deserve that 🙂
Then they introduce the thinking woman’s coffret: Id, Ego, and Superego.
Lol!
And then the flanker… Yes.
Q: What scent are you wearing?
A: me
Q: Yes you! Who do you think I’m talking to – the cat?
A: Not yes. Me. Are you wearing me?
Q?: No.Yes.
Does anyone else think the the “ME” font is reminiscent “REDRUM”? I think it is a little creepy.
No, I didn’t think of that, lol! Now, I will never even test it..lol. Haha. Creepy!
Perfect! and could sit on a shelf near Obsession, Passion, Euphoria, Loverdose et al
Merlin, you’re cracking me up!
I agree, licorice and blueberry sounds like a dicey combination, though I’ll try almost anything once.
And yes, the bottle and font are odd choices. The spangle-y think looks like an afterthought to offset the copycat bottle, weird font, and overall masculine look.
Haha! Comical!
LOL! Somehow, you have to work in their last fragrance, Marry Me. Which by all rights ought to have been a flanker to this one.
Sorry that may take Thought!
Lol, it was a prequel.
How about:
Arpege was a masterpiece, Rumeur banal, but with Me they really hit rock bottom.
From the advertised notes, it sounds like it should be called: Meh!
🙂
I don’t think it’s fair to criticize Me, at this point.
LOL! You are cracking me up.
😀
Merlin, you just made my evening!
I AM NOT CRITICIZING YOU, I AM CRITICIZING ME!!!!!!!
LOL! Haha.
Well don’t! You know sometimes you can be your own worst critic.
Oh ME, oh my. Surely it would be much better to have put the budget for say the last 3 Lanvin fragrances into resurrecting My Sin? This is just plain sad. I mean, blueberry licorice in a faux Chanel bottle and Redrum font? Ugh.
oh, how I mourn My Sin. 🙁
“This is just plain sad. I mean, blueberry licorice in a faux Chanel bottle and Redrum font? Ugh.”
I LOLd. Who’s in charge of marketing here?
As the LONE Vox in the Throng… I Loved The Rumeur Remake… Smells Lovely… and never smelled Marry Me or any of it’s Flankers but would like to… the original sounds pretty good, this sounds Pretty Good to and I Like the Bottle! The Font… Kinda Creepy, though… you are right! 🙂
Everybody is criticizing. Has anyone smelled it? No.
It might come as a surprise, but this is not the house that was once famous for Arpege. Like Jean Patou, like Rochas, like Lancome. Resurection of old perfumes as they once were is impossible, except in museums. First, because it’s technically impossible, because of ingredients, which are either considered toxic, or forbidden or insanely expensive. Second, because nobody ( except a few perfumistas) would be able to wear them (or even smell them)!Too strong, too animal, too floral, not the smells we’d been used to smell. It’s like a bath costume from the 20’s, you wouldn’t consider wearing them today. But i would love to see it in a museum. Like we should have for perfumes!
Is this comment directed at Me?
Well said, MCocteau! I fully agree with you.
Licorice? I am here!!!!! Tuberose..there I went, lol.
