French niche line Jovoy Paris has launched Rouge Assassin, a new floral fragrance.
Rouge Assassin is a tribute to the fearless, unstoppable woman, who abandoned her once established regime and broke all the rules.
With Rouge Assassin, perfumer Amélie Bourgeois has created a successful homage to this era of new femininity. She has combined lipstick notes of iris with a skin fragrance of rice bran, musk, powdery and floral notes.
Additional notes include bergamot, elemi, rose, ambrette, benzoin, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla, white musk and cedar.
Jovoy Paris Rouge Assassin is available in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds quite nice, doesn’t it?
Possibly…
Lipstick and powder? Yes please!
I like the idea too, although it’s funny to see niche chasing mainstream trends – ought to be the other way around.
iris again (and rose, urgh). ‘la liturgie’ is gorgeous, but the rest of the line leaves me cold. pass.
I sadly cannot remember if I’ve tried any. I did not love the first 7 releases, but that was some years ago now.
Wait…rice bran? When I think rebellion, danger, femininity, it conjures up the scent of . . . RICE BRAN?!
Silliness aside, I’d give this a sniff. At least it sounds creative and interesting!
Does anyone one else think the name unfortunate…
Nothing says, “Gun for Hire” better than rice bran EdP and a few Activias.
🙂
Smelled this at Elements and really liked it. Starts off like dirty lipstick – kinda loud. As it softens, it gets a bit sweeter. I see it as a “sassy broad” kinda scent – not really for guys. Guys should check out the other new Jovoy – Les Jeux Son Faits.
