This was hilarious! Now I really can’t wait to go to the launch when I’m in London.
They do really cute films at Penhaligon’s.
the juniper sling one was quite delightful too, wasn’t it?
Yes, that was fun.
How funny!
🙂
Alas, the lady listened to the advice, and fell for the “gentlemen” who offered her a live tiger to make into a rug, instead of the guy who invented the automobile. As a result, somewhere in Michigan, there is a descendant of Ford, and the lady who did accept his attentions, and this descendant has bought Pennove and every Pehligan’s scent. After all what is an inheritance for but luxuries.
The descendant of the lady who listened to the advice has inherited her great-great grandmother’s (now moth eaten) tiger rug and not much else. This descendant spends a great deal and time and effort in explaining to her vegan friends that the rug was a sign of her great-great-grandfather’s “gentlemanly” nature and begging them to stop accusing her of being a sadistic poacher. This descendant is saving her money for a bottle of Esprit of the Tiger.
Moral of the story: Smell like a rose, or peony, but accept the attentions of crackpots, and poets as well as gentlemen.
(You should still avoid the attentions of married men).
haha Dilana! Very clever!
LOL!
