Now that is a very pretty ad. Brings back memories of the days when I was buying YSL’s Paris, EL’s Pleasures, and Laura Ashley No 1. This ad is a bit gentler than any of those tho’, more like the marketing of Anais Anais.
I can’t afford Fleur 09 but I have a treasure of my own – I still have a third of my bottle of Laura Ashley No 1 and it’s in perfect condition. The prices LA1 fetches on eBay would make your hair curl!
Lucky you! I can’t believe their prices now either. I had a bottle of edt once, also the body lotion – both long gone…
I used to love Laura ashley no 1! Had completely forgotten about it. I had no idea it was discontinued. Assumed it was still very popular since its so pretty and wearable.
Nice!
Funny, I tested this at aedes and was sure it was a hyperreal jasmine soliflore. Strange to see the notes now!
Interesting, maybe the notes are misleading.
Is there any truth to notes whatsoever, or do they just make it up?
At this point I even wonder what they mean when they say ‘Indian tuberose absolute’ – do they mean there’s real absolute in there (which definitely smells very particular and strange), or an accord that smells of the absolute?! Ha, it’s all a little mind-boggling.
I don’t think they make them up, but listing Indian tuberose absolute doesn’t mean there’s necessarily any “natural” tuberose at all, that’s true.
Oh boy. It’s a little disconcerting, not because it matters to me whether something is ‘synthetic’ or ‘natural’ (the lines are so blurred anyway as it comes down to molecules) but just in the interest of training my nose!
