Parfums de Nicolai L’Eau a la Folie ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 25 May 2012 11 Comments

Parfums de Nicolaï L'Eau à la Folie

French niche brand Parfums de Nicolaï has launched L'Eau à la Folie, a new citrus fruity floral:

This lovely fruity-floral hesperidic composition is described as being fresh, sparkling and exotic. The Eau Fraîche opens on exotic notes revealing a velvety peach skin facet inspired by the Mojito Andalous cocktail which is spiced up by juniper berries and pink peppercorn besides the mint, lime and rum. Jasmine from Egypt brings a sense of dressiness to the perfume. The "young, dynamic" composition rests on a woody base.

Parfums de Nicolaï L'Eau à la Folie can be found now at Beautyhabit or Parfum1 in the US, in 30 ($45) or 100 ($115) ml.

An Andalusian Mojito! I’m glad PdN has turned her hand (nose) to scents for young women – if anyone can create a fruity floral that is worth wearing, it’s she. Sounds great for summer!

And she’s already done some great fruity florals! Wish (again) they hadn’t axed the lovely Eau Exotique. Look forward to trying this one.

This woman could end up redeeming the reputation of fruity florals! Even in my eyes!

I have several PdN’s none are light and floral. The 3 that I own are the finest made frags that I owned when I first started collecting. This has to be a different brand from what I have. I’m so very confused.

This sounds good! Eau Exotique is lovely, I also happen to love Eau Turquoise, but I know you were less fond of that one. My favourite of her summer eaux is still Eau d’Eté. L’Eau Mixte that came out in 2010
(I think) is very good as well.

I own a bottle of Eau d’Ete too, just don’t reach for it as much since buying the Exotique.

I think most people liked Turquoise better!

A friend gave me a partial bottle of Turquoise, and while it didn’t impress me much aft first, I get questions and compliments whenever I wear it. This new one sounds interesting.

Great minds think alike. As soon as I read the first line, I thought, “well, if anyone can redeem this fragrance category, it’s PdN.” I’m a big fan of hers, and today I’m wearing Weekend a Deauville.” Wanted something lovely and floral, and I got it – spent the first hour mentally complimenting myself on how good I smelled! 🙂
