Guerlain will release their annual limited edition version of Muguet on May 1; as is the tradition, it will be officially for sale on that day only.
This year's version is by house perfumer Thierry Wasser and features a necklace and charm from French house Gripoix. Notes include lily of the valley, lilac and rose.
Guerlain Muguet 2012 will be available in 60 ml, €175. 1250 bottles were produced.

Update: According to Guerlain the correct price is €385.
What a pretty bottle. Is that a charm around the neck of the bottle?
A glass charm that can be worn as a necklace.
Oh, it says that in the release – my bad. I should read things first.
Not sure actually if it is one charm or two separate charms (pearl & leaf).
If it’s only on sale for one day, how does one go about getting it if one is not physically located in Paris?
Sorry, Ikat. My comment below was in answer to your question.
You can pre-order, and I’m pretty sure that’s how most of those bottles get sold.
Bergdorf’s in NYC will have them or the Guerlain boutique at the Palazzo in Las Vegas. Either store will ship – so your bottle of Muguet is only a phone call away. 😉
Based upon the presentation at a Sniffapooloza Bergdorf breakfast, it would require a phone call and a rather large available balance on the credit card.
Perhaps the cost and “rarity” is the reason that Guerlain has come up with a “travel” size cologne alternative (see article below).
Where is the article you are referring to?

And in the UK, Harrods takes pre-orders.
Maybe it was a function of the pre-shopping margaritas, but I’m pretty sure the Vegas boutique at the Palazzo still had the 2011 Muguet in stock when I was there last October. There was definitely a tester sitting out.
Figures!
They still had it this February…
*Sigh* If only. Maybe one of these days I can be so lucky and get to own one of these.
I smelled it one year and was not all that impressed, but now I cannot remember which year it was. It was nice, just not thrilling.
I want it anyway. LOL
HA…I know just how that works!
There are plenty of Lily of the Valley scents out there. I’d recommend CDG White, for an interesting variation. It gets lots of compliments when I wear it.
Thanks for the recommendation Dilana. You know, I haven’t worn a LOTV scent since Muguet de Bois when I was just a mere child. I really have a hankering for one now!
Robin, Please tell me how I can find this fragrance. It sounds so lovely.
fondly, Anita
I would call some store with a full Guerlain counter (Bergdorf Goodman, the Neimans in San Fran, the Guerlain store in Vegas, etc) and pre-order.
Do we have an MSRP or at least a ball-park figure on this beauty? Thanks!
N/M, I should ready more carefully. Thanks!
Want! Is it wrong to like the charm and necklace more than the juice?
NST Blog, I blame you for making me blow my budget. Actually I didn’t do one….but just saying….
