Posted by Robin on 24 January 2012 13 Comments

Guess Seductive Sunkissed

Guess will launch Seductive Sunkissed in March. The new limited edition fragrance for women is a flanker to 2010's Guess Seductive, and is meant for 'sexy and free' young women.

Guess Seductive Sunkissed was developed by perfumer Bernard Ellena; the notes feature pear, pink grapefruit, raspberry, black currant blossom, jasmine, orchid, vanilla, violet, musk and Macassar ebony.

Guess Seductive Sunkissed will be available in 50  ml Eau de Toilette.

Blecch to the notes (grapefruit + overly sweet fuit salad) and the bottle would be OK except for that stupid dangly lipstick charm.

I am not loving that charm.

I’ve never smelled the original — I really should. It might be fab for all I know.

it is fab, but it’s smells cheaply fab.

it’s really sweet and smelled mostly of strawberries to me. a bit like the old Miss Dior Chérie.

“sexy and free” young women? I was wondering about the alternatives – sexy and enslaved young women or sexy young women who charge?

LOL that was the first thing I thought of too! They could do flankers for other types of young women.

In all fairness to Guess, I’m translating from the French and this might not be how they will describe it in English. They must have meant something along the lines of free-spirited.

it sure does look and sound pretty tacky as usual for these types of fragrances most the time:)))

I wouldn’t have gone as far as the lipstick charm, but there’s something really charming about the bottle and box’ kitschiness. It’s a nice change from the tyranny of “good taste” 🙂 .

I don’t know about the blend, though. It actually sounds quite a bit like the pink “Pamela Anderson” spray that was out last year (the “mahogany” note).

I actually have the original and wear it occasionally. Nothing intriguing about it at first sniff, but I love its creamy development on my skin.

This flanker, however, sounds utterly horrid. Being of average breast-size and sans highlights the color of straw, I will pass on this.

The Guess perfumes are awfully popular in my neck of the woods, and having only smelled their sillage trails on young women of my acquaintance (“sexy and free” all), I’ll admit that they’re not half-bad. This one sounds full bad. However, I am getting a disproportionately large kick out of that lipstick-tube sprayer. Clever and cute.

Last time I sniffed, I really liked the original..but CAN’T STAND I’m Yours..so awful and not wearable to me..cherry cough syrup accord on top, lol. It really wore on me much like Heat..which I cannot stand either.

This one looks awful too..the lipstick charm looks cheap and tacky, don’t like it at all. Ugh, like those sandal charms on earrings and the like? Can’t stand those.

What is this? If I was like 12 this might sound good to me. And maybe at 12 I would like that dumb charm. I will sniff it..but it doesn’t sound appealing.
