More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.
From Clinique, the latest iteration of their Happy in Bloom fragrance: "New design, same springy feel. Our floral favorite returns with a fresh new look, at a perfect time to share the happiness. Enjoy the feeling of a world suddenly in bloom. Here for a limited time to make your world sweeter, softer and brighter." $46 for 50 ml at Nordstrom.
From Justin Bieber, a special Valentine's day bottle for the Someday fragrance: "Experience SOMEDAY in a whole new way with this heart-stopping gift from Justin to his favorite fans." $56 for 100 ml at Macy's.
From Hugo Boss, the "Charity Edition" of Boss Orange, in support of Unicef. The men's, shown above, can be found in 40 and 60 ml Eau de Toilette; there is also a women's version in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette. Both are at Douglas in Germany.
From Creed, the 250th Anniversary Limited-Edition Flacon: "This ultimate imperial women's fragrance is presented in a sculptural hand-blown glass decanter that will never again be produced, nestled inside a French white heirloom box. The singular fragrance is a masterfully crafted and personal journey through CREED's service to queens, empresses, princesses and First Ladies, the world's most exceptional clientele." 200 ml for $1750 at Neiman Marcus, where you can also find a description of what appears to be a new fragrance created for this bottle.
Silly me for thinking the charm on the Justin Beiber bottle would be to give to your special someone! No, actually, it’s direct from the Beeb himself to his “favorite fans.” Awww! *retch*
You’d think as a middle school teacher, I’d remember this mindset better!
His not so favorite fans can’t have one 🙂
Oh, and I like the Creed bottle, which figures at nearly $2k! It can be a burden to have such good taste! 🙂
I am starting off the year in a good place: there is nothing on this list I need to have 🙂
No, no. Certainly no NEED for me, either. But I don’t mind knowing there are pretty things in the world.
I predict that Justin Bieber Valentine’s bottle is going to be a MASSIVE seller. Even though it looks like about 30 other bottles out there.
Quite like the Hugo Boss. I really fail to see the appeal, other than pure jetset snobbery of the Creed.
I’d agree! Surprised he isn’t just getting a flanker out there already. Betcha he has one in the works though.
Without reading I thought it was a limited Oh Lola bottle. It looks very similar.
Same here. What a shameless ripoff.
Just an observation on the Creed – I did sniff this at Neiman’s before Christmas and the wonderful SA made me a sample. I think it is a wonderful rich scent, but I would not suggest it is worth $1750. I will be seeking a decant from someplace. I really can smell the various Creed scents which they say they used to create this one.
I don’t think I’ve yet smelled the perfume that I thought would be worth that much.
I love the 60s wallpaper motif on that Happy bottle!
They’ve done fun things w/ that bottle over the years.
The Creed description is pretty funny — a whole bunch of notes taken from Creed perfumes made for royalty and first ladies alike with some “Love In White” orange blossom to make it swing. Like, I don’t want to smell like one princess, I want to smell like them all. At once!
(the description on the NM site)
For that price, you ought to smell like every princess!
Not a fan of this year’s Happy in Bloom packaging.
Creed makes me roll my eyes SO HARD. yeah, yeah, 250th anniversary, whatever. Boo.
Aren’t they a little late anyway? The bottle clearly says “1760”, and then underneath, “1760 – 2010”. Shouldn’t the 250th anniversary bottle have come out two years ago?
What a WONDERFUL bottle from Hugo Boss. It’s a pitty the fragrance is disgusting and cloying. One of the worst lauches in 2011.
That Clinique bottle reminds me of the dress worn by my Mattel Rock Flower doll from the 70’s.
The Clinique bottle is so cute, and appeals to my inner 60s dollybird but have never been a fan of the scent….I can never understand these limited edition flankers with maybe a new ribbon and little else….
