Model Kate Moss has launched Lilabelle, a new floral fragrance for young girls named after her daughter, Lila Grace:
A fusion of contemporary and classic… For young girls becoming women and women who want to be young girls! Playfully sophisticated and delicately loud.
The Lilabelle fragrance is a floral woody musk. It is sensual, enveloping, voluptuous, feminine but fresh and sparkling with a very audacious character.
The notes include mandarin, osmanthus, freesia, lily, night blooming jasmine, plumeria, sandalwood, amber and heliotrope.
Kate Moss Lilabelle is available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette, and can be found now at mass market stores in the UK.

At first glance, I thought the name of the perfume was “Libel” and that it was very appropriate for someone of her reputation. How long have I been ignoring celebrity gossip that I didn’t even know that she has a daughter? Am I still the only one that associates her with hard partying, including heroin use? Why would I buy into that brand?
I would guess most people associate her w/ glamor & fashion…her line apparently sells well.
This does not sound anything like the innocent sort of scent I would think of as appropriate for “young girls” : a lot of those notes sound as if they belong in a much more mature fragrance, which makes me think that 1) girls are growing up a lot faster than they used to and 2) there is no longer any such thing as market segmentation — all mass-market fragrances are now meant to be all things to all people. The lowest common denominator.
Maybe it smells great? I wouldn’t count on it, but you never know.
The description is oddly mature…can only assume the finished fragrance is not, but I’ll never smell it so can’t know (doubt very seriously it will show up in the US).
