Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 18

Posted by Robin on 27 October 2011 31 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

By Kilian Joyaux de nuit flacon

From By Kilian, the 'Joyaux de nuit' limited edition series for holiday 2011: three different handmade bottles with black stones and Swarovski crystals. €295 each. (via cosmopolitan.fr)

Cartier Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition

From Cartier, the Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition: "Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition accelerates this fall with a bottle made for speed, exclusively at Bloomingdales. Fresh and modern, Roadster SPORT is a symbol of freedom and sensation." $100 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette, at Bloomingdales.

Fan di Fendi leather edition part 1

And two for Fan di Fendi, both in black patent leather and designed by Silvia Fendi. First, above, the Deluxe Vanity limited edition, featuring a vanity case with mirror and a 1 liter bottle of scent. £1,485, and coming to Harrods in November. (via fashion.telegraph.co.uk)

Fan di Fendi leather edition part 2

Next up, a 50 ml bottle in a patent case, more reasonably priced at 150€. (via aufeminin)

Jean Paul Gaultier Classique X Erotic Chic edition

From Jean Paul Gaultier, the latest limited edition of Classique X: the Classique X Erotic Chic edition, in 100 ml Eau de Toilette with removable black metal fringe necklace.  (via mode.vogue.fr)

One liter of Fan di Fendi! Oh my.

It is more Fan di Fendi than I’m gonna need, that’s for sure.

As if anyone would need 1 liter of Fan di Fendi. I spritzed that stuff once on a strip and it was the scent-monster that would not go away! I am still smelling it on my coat, in my purse, and even on my sheets where I set the strip down briefly before throwing it out! Even if I did like it (which I most certainly don’t) I’d hate it by now because it’s just so annoyingly persistent. It’s like that really inebriated guy in the bar somehow thinks you have a connection and won’t leave you alone!

Btw, make me even angrier that they discontinued all those previous beauties Donna, Theorema and Palazzo…for THIS!

And how could I forget, my winter favorite Asja! /rant ….I think. lol

I am astonished that Fan di Fendi would sell, and Theorema would not. But people do seem to be liking Fan di Fendi better than Palazzo.

Certain units should not be applied to certain things,

A bottle so big it needs its own suitcase?

The Gabor sisters probably would have appreciated such a thing given the whole ‘pouring perfume into the pool’ story. ;) From what I’ve smelled, a small decant would probably do it for me. ;)

Exactly! The perfect holiday gift for the woman who already has too much stuff.

I think you can get any of their scents in one of three limited edition bottles.

Yes, exactly — this is not a new fragrance, just a fancy bottle.

I had no idea. I’ve never seen this particular scent at Saks. I’ll have to see if I can get a sniff. The name sounds promising, maybe a modern take on Nuit du Noel?

Ok, wait a minute, I think I get it now. You can have any scent in this bottle, there’s not a scent called Joyaux de nuit, right? Don’t know why that didn’t compute for me

That’s interesting….it’s not the bottle that strikes me so much the name of the fragrance! :)

I wouldn’t expect anything less from By Kilian. *sigh* I’m surprised they aren’t diamond studded and don’t have Fan di Fendi leather edition 1 prices for those bottles already.

Isn’t the “plain” Killian bottle more elegant?
I like that Roadster. Is the juice any good.

Hmmm. I already have Geranium Pour Monsieur, which is pretty darn minty. I don’t think I need two mints.

I liked the Roadster Sport bottle too much. Roadster is one of my favourites perfumes. I’d like to know more about the Sport version.

Ooohhh I do love Fan di Fendi. I may be in the minority but if I was a wealthy woman I would be buying the 1 litre bottle. I’d bathe in its contents every day!

I love that Roadster bottle! Pretty cute.

Since I can’t see needing even a mini of Fan De Fendi, I’ll pass on the suitcase full.

The only way that Cartier bottle is going to be speedy is if you’re chucking it at someone.

Love the Fendi vanity case but 1l of perfume… The ziparound leather case looks tacky though.
