Bath & Body Works Charmed Life

Bath & Body Works has launched Charmed Life, the latest addition to their signature collection:

Master perfumers have blended juicy guava, sparkling pear and creamy vanilla musk to create this positively sexy fragrance inspired by taking chances, having fun and savoring life's fabulous moments.

The notes include guava, apple, pear, red berries, peony, jasmine, lily of the valley, coconut milk, apricot, vanilla, praline, sandalwood and musk.

Bath & Body Works Charmed Life is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching bath & body products.

OK, I’m the crazy person who buys the $1 previews for EVERY new launch at BBW.

I can’t make up my mind on this one. The notes would make it sound like a gourmand or fruity floral but I’m not really getting that vibe from it so much. I actually think they were going for more of a powdery-clean floral with some light fruitiness. I definitely don’t hate it. When I first tried it I thought I might actually like it. But now, after slathering the lotion a couple more times, I’m not so sure. It smells kind of synthetic.

I’d like to take a spray of the EDT at some point and see how that differs from the preview lotion.

I don’t think it’s crazy at all…it’s a cheap way to try a bunch of their products. I don’t know why other brands don’t do something similar.

The notes for this don’t sound promising, but I love that packaging! Love it. Really. My inner 9-year-old is in heaven.

Hard to believe that only a couple years ago, everything BBW did was in clear glass. I can only assume the change has helped their bottom line!

I often buy the $1 trial sizes too! A lot of the BBW scents end up smelling synthetic to me, but they do have some nice things. I wander in whenever I’m in the mall, so I’ll try this when I get the chance.

A $1 trial size is perfect. Not only can you try something without risking a lot of money, but the trial sizes are perfect travel sizes. I don’t like (non-citrus) fruity scents, which rules out most BBW scents, but I do like Moonlight Path, Sensual Amber, most of their citrus scents, and several of their holiday scents.

I have recently discovered some of their scents: Twilight Woods, Secret Wonderland, Country Chic, Dark Kiss and Paris Amour.
I have yet to try this one.
