Something about him reminds me of a younger Harrison Ford. Good video. Is he saying that they use *real* iris butter in this?
I did not hear him say exactly that, but I’d be surprised if there was no real iris in the scent, wouldn’t you?
No. đ But I’d definitely think there would be some real iris in a perfume version.
This is so lovely and romantic. And I thought I’d finally come to terms with not needing a bottle of Iris-based anything. Time to reassess!
It’s one of my favorite notes, but have not yet smelled the new 19 version.
Mesmerized by Christopher Sheldrake speaking french ! I haven’t smelt Poudre yet and will do eventually. I heard it’s tenacity is lacking .
Lasting power, unless it’s really awful, isn’t usually a big concern of mine, but I do usually agree w/ Angie’s reviews — guessing that if she didn’t like it, I won’t either. But I’ll give it shot when I can.
It’s funny hearing the his English accent coming through the French isn’t it?
It’s really lovely to hear him speak french. Yes his english accent comes through. Oh sigh !!!!
Mr. Sheldrake was one of the 2 perfumers featured in the video presented at the Longwood Gardens perfume exhibit last summer. The other was Olivier Polg. I found his descriptions and explanations in the interviews very easy to listen to and understand.
The fields of iris flowers look so lovely!

Oooo I almost fell in love! What a lovely man. And his fragrances … for Serge Lutens I mean.
For Chanel, it breaks my heart to say it but say it I must; Prada does it better. I am definitely NOT an iris lover, but Infusion dĂris is a masterpiece.
