Old Spice continues their search for someone, or some thing, that will engage consumers as well as Isaiah Mustafa. Good luck, guys.

There goes 32 seconds of my life that I’ll never get back…
Yeah, sorry. I lost 64 seconds since I had to watch it again to make sure I embedded it correctly.
Yes, kind of lame.
It ought to work, but it doesn’t.
Nope. No. No way. Never happen. They can’t possibly find a replacement for their iconic Old Spice Guy. Bring back Isaiah!
Agree!
Tres Goofy! in a Good Awkwardly self-concious sort of way!
It is goofy. And it seems like the kind of goofy I would like. But I smiled, didn’t laugh.
Has Isaiah priced himself out of Old Spice’s range by being so fabulous? They oughta suck it up and blow some more cash his way… assuming that he’s not now too busy with other, more substantial projects. (Still, a commercial every six months wouldn’t eat up that much time, would it?)
No idea if it’s the money, or if they just don’t want him on the air 24/7 (which is probably wise) or ?
Just goes to show that BOTH being zany and being sexy are harder than they look when done by the pros. And just when I was planning to go out and buy some Old Spice in order to help keep Mustafa in gym memberships!
It feels like a self-conscious parody of the “original” fella! Bad, uncomfortable, unfortunate! “Epic fail!” as my students would say!
And I echo the wondering about WHY they would want to replace a known success?. . .I hope he is well!
If I were that guy I would have gone home after filming and contemplated a new career in just about anything.
…and what’s going on with his abs? Kinda creepy, not sexy, like he’s turning into a sea creature.
It reminded me of that Burger King fragrance ad for “Flame”!! Yikes!
