Ahem!
I liked the old one better.
The reformulation is not really to my taste…
Maybe it’s just my aversion with long hair…
I think it’s good they’re not “overdoing” the original guy. And do not think he’s really gone.
This was a cute idea, but it’s hampered by the fact that the delivery isn’t as funny.
No good! I love the other guy!
Betcha he’ll be back.
NOOOOOOO! [Actually that was pretty funny though.]
It is pretty funny. But watched all 11 of them, and wasn’t dying laughing once. Cute idea, just not quite funny enough.
You watched all 11 of em? Bless your heart. 😉
Fabio hasn’t changed! Is this guy for real? That hair really has to go, though. Ha! Sorry to hear the ads aren’t funny. I loved the other ones!
Seriously, he hasn’t! He looks the same as he did 10 years ago.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought that. He’s too old for that hair. The first commercial I saw…was it Sunday night? All I could think was “wow…all that hair really points up his age.” It’s time for him to hack it off. Past time, really.
I had to youtube search these when I read it. I am now trying to figure out how to cut open be my skull so I can pour bleach on my brain and scour it with a brillo pad. Seriously, this man should never be allowed to talk.
Waaaa! I want my Old Old Spice Guy back.
Ditto.
Exactly.
Fabio doesn’t do it for me in the slightest. Bring back Isaiah Mustafa!
Bummer about Fabio, doesn’t he have an “I can’t believe it’s not butter” commercial to film? I loved everything about those ads with Isaiah, especially his delivery. Hope they bring him back soon!
😉 LOL!! I can’t believe it’s not Mustafa!
lol this can’t be for real
the old one is better, not to mention that Fabio ain’t what he used to be
Don’t worry people, clearly this is a troll. You shall have Isaiah Mustafa back soon! Maybe they will have a showdown.
See, now you all made me check out the youtube page and there WILL be a showdown … if the real Old Spice man shows up … on the “internets” at 9AM tomorrow. Umm, WTH?
Also apparently Fabio’s “posting” video responses real time to actual tweets.
Oh no – how awful and cheesey. The other guy had that great twinkle in his eye. It is hard to catch lightening in a bottle twice.
And does he WAX his body? Even his arms are hairless. Ugh.
The new ads are terrible – they’ve mistaken outlandish situations and fragmented, nonsensical dialogue for humor. The old ads were sly and clever, Fabio’s are just…random, and unfunny. I’d rather they’d just retired the concept instead of slapping a fresh face on it and upping the quirky factor to uncomfortable levels.
It’s amazing how much difference the voice makes, isn’t it? Isaiah Mustafa isn’t actually the handsomest guy in world – he just has the most wonderfully sly, sexy voice and delivery. Hope he’ll be back!
Oh just. No.
“O, …what a falling-off was there….”
Never fear! The duel has been scheduled!

Noon EST July 26th
Unless Isaiah gets sucker lashed by Fabio’s hair, is there any doubt how this will end?
thanks for the link, this will be a very distracting duel, Mustafa team of course. Great viral publicity (if it is so and not an even better hoax)
They could be REALLLY dragging this out,but I hope not. The whole idea of Fabio replacing Mustafa is just plain silly.
GO TEAM MUSTAFA!

Not interested in Fabio. His hair is thinning and he’s not funny. Or sexy. And Mustafa was both. He had incredible timing. Fabio does not.
Old Spice ad team are just milking that brilliant idea. It was so great that I can’t be topped. So they should have just changed the concept.
But now this—it’s not fun to the point where I lose my interest. I think I will contemplate a bit about the good past and play that commercial, “I’m on a horse” 🙂
I doubt that it’s Old Spice, most likely it’s a contractor. There’s been a creep of this kind of commercial since the first few, infecting all of Old Spice, most of Head and Shoulders, and (thankfully that freaking mouth thing is gone) Dairy Queen. Look for it to continue it’s creep, flogging the decaying corpses of horses seems to be the favored hobby of ad execs.
Where’s Don Draper when you need him?
