Niche line Juliette Has A Gun has launched Vengeance Extrême, a new variation on 2006's Lady Vengeance fragrance for women.
Juliette Has a Gun's Vengeance Extrême is an intense chypre which draws its sensuality from an unusual dose of patchouli and Bulgarian rose. The result is undeniably surprising, yet very just at the same time. Inspired by an impulsive and passionate woman, with numerous sides to her sense of extremity, from seduction and madness, to provocation and vengeance.
Juliette Has a Gun Vengeance Extrême is available now at Selfridges in the UK, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, £95. (via selfridges)
I love their gorgeous bottles, and this one is no exception. I’m a bit skeptical as to whether the world needs another rose/patchouli, but I’m sure I’ll sniff it anyway when my local indie perfume shop gets it in.
I’ll try it too. My main complaint about the original was that it was too tame.
I liked the original a lot, but it was too foody to be FBW. I wanted something with a little more something something. Maybe this will finally be the JHAG that draws me in.
I haven’t found anything to love in this line either, other than the packaging.
Same here Robin!
I think it did find lots of fans. But of course we’re right 🙂
I hated Calamity J, so I’m wary to try another patchouli offering from this line. For whatever reason I always get this house mixed up with by Kilian . .
I get them mixed up too, glad I’m not alone.
I find JHAG Midnight Oud very similar to Killian’s Rose Oud and it’s positively a bargain in comparison. The etched gold bottle is very pretty, too.
I just got this finally after squeezing every drop from my decant… Now just waiting for the mail! I do love this scent it hits all the right notes for being a sultry evening fragrance.
Midnight Oud I meant to mention, not Rose Oud. But I am eying a bottle of Killian Insence Oud, and I really am not an Oud-y person these just seem to be nice fragrances and blend it well… The oud is incidental I think.
