Posted by Robin on 10 July 2011 8 Comments

 Annayake An'na

Annayake will launch An'na, a new 'delicate and ethereal' fragrance for women, in September.

The notes for the fruity floral chypre feature black currant, mandarin, May roses, tuberose, jasmine, coriander, patchouli and amber.

Annayake An'na will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via pinkmelon.de)

Could be interesting…could be awful…its worth trying. I usually shy away from any fruity floral chypre.

I do like the packaging. But nearly never see Annayake scents.

Gee, who are these grocery workers that perfuminista’s report commenting on their scent, with such precision? (I’ve seen such reports on other websites).

When I go shopping, the grocery workers have trouble identifying a leeks, and parsnips. Mind you, not rootsy “notes: of leek or parsnips (or turnips) buried in a sophisticated cologne; they have trouble identifying the actual physical vegatable, as they pick it up to price it.
Yesterday, I had a nice bunch of very green, minty smelling mint. “Is this basil,” the young man asked. Yes, basil and mint are somewhat linked (particularily thai basil) but this was old fashioned, just plain mint.

The grocery workers here seem to have trouble with artichokes and ginger root.

Having trouble with the juxtaposition of “delicate and ethereal” and “freuity floral chypre” in the same sentence. Tuberose is many things but – delicate? Not hardly, at least not on me.

There are some very light tuberose scents out there though!
