Baldessarini Private Affairs ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 13 May 2011 29 Comments

Baldessarini Private Affairs

Baldessarini has launched Baldessarini Private Affairs, a new fragrance for confident men who have nothing to prove. Private Affairs follows 2008's Strictly Private scent.

A new masculine and seductive fragrance by Hugo Boss. That opens up with a warm nutmeg and fresh bergamot with hints of spicy juniper. Then blends nicely with floral lavender and geranium. Finally, it rounds up with aroma of seductive woods such as maple, cedar and sandalwood that works well together with masculine leather.

Baldessarini Private Affairs is available in 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.  (quote via gents.co.uk, additional information via douglas.de)

Well, the fragrance itself reads really nice. But that ad – yikes. A man with all that middle-aged hoopla would probably wear jerkoff, er, I mean Xerjoff….

The ad is really a crack up. Um, I think he is still maybe trying to prove something?

loool I agree with AnnS…..I probably wouldn’t fall for the guy in the ad, but the fragrance sounds like something I would want my man to wear 😀

Ha! I was thinking along the same lines, wondering if Daughter was admiring the new fragrance she just gave Daddy for Father’s Day.

Baldessarini line is very nice, although it has the same problem Hugo Boss line has: poor longevity. The best one I’ve tried is the first of the line, Baldessarini, wich remembers me too much Boss In Motion Edition Green, the best in Boss line in my opinion.

Has anyone seen those clever Dos Equis beer ads featuring “the Most Interesting Man in the World” ? This totally reminds me of those ads, except without any of the humour or irony.

Totally agree! Especially about the no humor or irony. My fave Dos Equis man line is that people hang on his every word, “even the prepositions.” This guy looks more like he *expects* people to hang on every word.

Of course it’s a private affair when you are banging the junior assistant in your department!

When I saw that there were so many comments, I thought, “I sure hope *someone* comments on that crazy ad!” I guess I should have more faith in this intelligent, witty, and perhaps slightly snarky, community!!!!
