Hajen, wow, thanks so so much!
FYI – Merz in the Palmer House hotel (Chicago) carries some L’Artisan scents as well as some Diptyque scents and candles and tons of other wonderful stuff – worth a visit.
You guys should talk about the perfume in Glamour magazine too! 🙂 I often find that they have more and sometimes better scent strips than most magazines….
None of us subscribe, but anyone is welcome to include the info in the comments!
Real Simple, May 2011
Scent strips: DKNY Pure
Editorial coverage: Under “Trends worth trying,” “Everyday Indulgences – Solid Perfume”:
Marc Jacobs Lola (bracelet)
Zuri Ituri Forest
Bond No. 9 Union Square token
Wholearth No. 7 by Danny Seo
Quelques Fleurs Royale by Houbigant Paris
Thanks so much! I have never heart of Zuri Ituri.
I had never heard of that or the Wholearth – interesting picks!
I’ve started to notice little blurbs about scent in Shape magazine, but it’s never anything very informative–a “favorite thing” for a celeb or a “beauty tip” attached to the fashion spread. . .(searching for this month’s issue. . .) A quick glance of this month’s (with Jillian Michaels) finds a scent strip for Euphoria by Calvin Klein.
Thanks!
InStyle, May 2011

Scent strips: Esprit d’Oscar by Oscar de la Renta; Very Irrésistible L’Intense by Givenchy
Editorial coverage:
*inserted before p. 31: the tear-out bookmark “When Good Cosmetics Go Bad” advises that perfume should be “tossed out” after 2 years (ha!). “Each spritz lets more air into the bottle,” says Roger Spain of Belle-Aire Fragrance. “This causes oxidation and slightly changes the scent – but it’s still fine to use.”
*p.96 “What’s Now!” “Carolina Herrera and her daughter asked renowned Australian pop artist Ben Frost to design their latest fragrance packaging” – Carolina Herrera 212 Pop! For Her (pic and price)
*p.230 “Ten Ways To Slim Down Without Really Trying” – “…when 190 men were asked to assess the weight of a model, they underestimated by as much as 7 percent when she was wearing a spicy floral scent (as opposed to a citrusy floral or a lily of the valley scent).” Estee Lauder Sensuous Noir featured next to this blurb (pic and price)
*p.233 “Say It With Flowers” (Mother’s Day fragrance recommendations) – Banana Republic Wildbloom; Emilio Pucci Vivara Variazioni Verde 072; Oscar de la Renta Esprit d’Oscar; Flora by Gucci Eau Fraîche; Christian Dior Milly-la-Forêt; Hermès Iris Ukiyoé (pictures and pricing for all six)
*p.239 “Beauty Talk: Reese Witherspoon” with a bit at the bottom showcasing her two Avon perfumes Love To The Fullest and Laugh Often (pics and pricing)
*p.240 “Reese’s Top Must-Haves” – Dayna Decker Posy Candle (pic and pricing)
*p.292 “Best Beauty Buys Annual Roundup” with a page devoted to their fragrance recommendations – Estee Lauder Beautiful; Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely; Diptyque Baies Noire Candle; Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey; “Editor’s Pick” Fresh Brown Sugar; Calvin Klein ck one; YSL Opium (pics and pricing on all seven)
Bonus — thanks (again) so much!
