Posted by Robin on 16 March 2011 15 Comments

Ghost Enchanted Bloom perfume

Ghost has launched Enchanted Bloom, a new fragrance for women:

Ghost Enchanted Bloom is Ghost's most romantic scent yet.

With every new fragrance, Ghost remains true to its guiding vision of femininity and unselfconscious statements for women with individuality. Ghost Enchanted Bloom is a sensually feminine fragrance that lets you discover your inner fantasy and escape to an enchanted and secluded place away from the worries of everyday life.

The notes include violet leaves, cranberry, bergamot, jasmine, waterlily, freesia, peach caviar and amber.

Ghost Enchanted Bloom is available in 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette. (via feelunique, additional information via diarydirectory)

That’s a first for peach caviar, I do think.

Sounds interesting, but the notes kinda remind me of something Escada would make.

Both Escada and ghost aré under p&g license, so makes sense the resemblance

Most of the Ghost scents are fruity florals … would bet their audience is similar to the Escada scents, maybe a bit younger.

Peach caviar? Is there a comma missing in the copy perhaps? Not that “peach, caviar…” sounds that much better…

No comma. But who knows if the comma is just MIA.

really. Any mention of caviar reminds me of fish. Lets see; caviar is fish eggs, so peach caviar is peach pits maybe??? not much better. I think they just meant classy peach, and that’s just dumb. I hope the fragrance is better than the notes.
The bottle kinda looks like a dumb bell….but it doesn’t look like a fish so that’s encouraging.

There’s a fancy Spanish cook who was experimenting with “tomato caviar,” which was the juicy seeds/pulp scooped outta the flesh. Maybe it’s something like that? (Trying to be less snarky than my usual and give them the benefit of the doubt. . .)

Isn’t that the basic bottle Ghost uses for all their fragrances?
I like the original perfume, but it’s hard to find in the USA – never tried any of the subsequent flankers, if they are in fact flankers.
Agree that “peach caviar” just sounds wrong!

I seem to remember Ghost Night being in a dark purple crescent-moon shaped bottle that I liked. Unfortunately any Ghost fragrance I’ve tried smelled like shampoo on me.

    Do Ghost perfumes even sell?

I loved the Ghost that was in a deep purple blue crescent moon bottle bought about 2005. To me it was the most hypnotic jasmine scent I ever smelled and still is! My husband loved it and said the only thing sexier was the old Nikki St. Phalle.

The original is one of my favourite perfumes and most of the flankers are nice too, but calling them “unselfconscious statements for women with individuality” is a stretch…
