Flirt!, the Estee Lauder brand sold exclusively at Kohl’s department stores, has launched Luv-a-Licious, a new fruity floral fragrance for women. Luv-a-Licious is the line's fifth fragrance, and is fronted by Glee star Heather Morris, the "Flirt! Ambassador".
A seductive smile. A flirty giggle. A playful wink. Ohhh so…. LUV-A-LICIOUS! Inspired by the iconic image of the Pin-Up Girl, FLIRT!’s newest flirtatious fruity floral fragrance is both playfully coy and seductively feminine.
The Luv-a-licious girl keeps ‘em guessing with a teasingly flirty blend of fruits and flowers. The inviting, upbeat introduction features charming juicy lychee, sparkling mandarin and tender marigold.
A fun and flirty, super-girlie heart unfolds with luscious ripe plum, feminine pink rose, romantic jasmine petals and fluffy pink peony.
In the drydown, gentle base notes of soft musk, amber and creamy sandalwood deliver long lasting, skin-like warmth and subtle sexiness.
Flirt! Luv-a-Licious is $35 for 50 ml Perfume Spray. (via press release)
It’s pretty hard to tell anything about the fragrance, but the packaging is really up my alley.
I don’t know what to make of these EL brands that are Kohl’s exclusive – I had an American Beauty lipstick a few years ago that I was really enjoying til I lost it. But I was iffy on the American Beauty frags. I don’t think I’ve sniffed any of the Flirt perfumes.
It’s very cute…reminds me of the Benefit brand.
EXACTLY what I was thinking, aka, the graphics on the bottle!
True! I actually didn’t think that those Benefit Crescent Row perfumes were half-bad. There were just so many of them, I can’t remember which I liked.
I would really like something with that vintage pinup aesthetic that was niche and had a vintage perfume feel to it. KWIM?? sigh.
I like the aesthetic too, but while the crescent rows had some ok specimens (in terms of scent), none of them thrilled me enough to actually spend $$ on. Also, the vintage pin-up idea doesnt seem entirely consistent with the slightly waspish image i tend to have of the house. Estee Lauder just isn’t quite a fun and bubbly brand!
K, reading the comments again, I realize E.L. is more the owner than the brand…
I wonder if the name was a play on the Fergie (Black Eyed Peas) song “Fergielicious?”
Maybe!
This is very cute and it sounds perfect for the younger set….in fact when I was reading it , at first I thought it said “fifth graders” instead of fifth fragrance….. but this would be good for 5th graders. As long as they don’t have Estee Lauder hating skin chemistry like me.
LOL…doubt it’s geared THAT young! Actually, wonder what the age of the average Glee fan is, because would have thought it was much older than the age they’re after for the perfume.
yeah, they’re probably not looking to hook that super-solvent 11yr old demographic…..but that’s what I thought it said! But probably where this one will hit is between 15,16 and 22…..and by that time I’m sorta hoping they’ll have moved on to something a little more adult.
When I am roaming Kolh’s I always give these a sniff. Nothing has grabbed me and made me want to spritz. But I did find a bottle of Giorgio Beverly Hills that was blue and smelled wonderful.
All the Flirt bottles are cute, and all the frags sound sweety-sweet and boring. But I didn’t know they were done by Estee Lauder — my skin does NOT hate EL, so maybe I should actually smell one!
If I remember correctly the skin care/makeup at khols are like this..
American Beauty = Estee Lauder
Grassroots = Origins
Good Skin = Clinique
FLIRT = MAC
I don’t know anything about Grassroots or GoodSkin, but Estee Lauder owns Flirt and MAC.
I see all of those associations. Probably explains why I’m somewhat drawn to American Beauty when I browse at Kohl’s, as I’m a huge EL fanatic (perfume, makeup, skincare, everything).
I’m not seeing the Flirt = MAC connections as much as the others, though. Also, not sure I’ve even seen all of those lines in my local Kohl’s. Definitely American Beauty and Flirt. I know the man has Kohl’s giftcards from Christmas he has yet to spend. Should go check it out.
Robin, Estee owns them all. =)
Yeah…I misunderstood your original post, sorry!
I forgive the mandarin, which leaves plum and lychee-not too bad. If I can smell the flowers through the fruit I might try it, although my hopes have been dashed a lot lately with the mainstream mishmash.
Funny, I love Mac cosmetics, but not so much Lauder. Mac uses more creativity and fun, appealing to a younger audience. Makeup artists love Mac. Lauder excels at skincare and perfume I believe.
And the first thing I too thought was Benefit, they might be mad but I don’t think they can do anything.
