Tommy Hilfiger will launch Hilfiger Woman Peach Blossom, a new flanker to last year's Hilfiger Woman fragrance. Hilfiger Woman Peach Blossom is intended to be sparkling, charming, innocent and sweet.
The notes include bergamot, blackberry, cassis, peach, iris, mimosa, vanilla, tonka bean, musk and coconut.
Tommy Hilfiger Woman Peach Blossom will be exclusive to the Douglas chain in Europe, where it is due to launch this month, in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum. (via cosmoty.de)
The last Tommy perfume I liked was Dreaming, which also had a fair bit of peach and an interesting peppery quality overall. But the coconut here negates any interest I’d have in smelling it. There are some okay mainstream fruity florals I’d really like more if not for the coconut lurking in the drydown. I just think beach or spices when I think of that note, but this…
I’m so with you – if there is any note in fragrance that is a complete turn-off for me it’s coconut.
Absolute- I cannot stand coconut in fragrance. It always reminds me of suntanning products soI am on board with what you’re saying. It actually makes me a little nauseated.
I agree. Coconut reminds me of tanning lotion, which reminds me of all the gnats that end up being stuck to my skin in it.
I like coconut if it’s meant to smell beachy — Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess & the like.
I kind of like coconut, but it doesn’t reach out and grab my nose. If it did, I’d probably feel differently.
The only thing about this one that appeals to me is the retro-yuppie ribbon.
I feel the same way about coconut but I am really quite liking the ribbon! Even the bottle is attractive in a classic/minimal way, just too bad about the list of notes.
What does “sparking” mean? Sneeze-inducing? or is that “diffusive”.
oops, I meant sparkling.
Sparkling like spring, like a fresh breeze, like champagne? Actually, this doesn’t sound too bad, it’s the “sweet and innocent” that turns me off. 🙂
No me, it means “not flat”. Which is actually hard to explain, but I know it when I smell it 🙂
I like the smell of coconut, but not on me, as a perfume (as suntain lotion, yes). This line is well done but doesn’t suit me – I’m probably too old!
Sounds potentially yummy, but it’s going to be exclusive to Europe, so I won’t get to try it.
OH! WHY SO MUCH COCONUT HATRED!?!?! LOL! It is in my top 3 favorite perfume notes… wish my go-to line Jo Malone would do a Coconut scent… like Iris Coconut or Peach Coconut or CUCUMBER (another Fave) Coconut! … something COCONUT!!!! this sounds delicious! I LOVE Peach (Mitsuoko Anyone!) and all the other notes sound Tres Adorable! defintiely a buy without smelling here!
My difficulty with coconut is that it seems such a drama queen. Once its there, I can hardly smell anything else!
It is a sweet and light scent (on my skin). It stays close to the skin. I don’t smell coconut, but I smell peach in the dry down. It would be a nice scent for hot weather.
