Lorenzo Villoresi has launched Iperborea:
There, beyond the north wind, where the ocean breeze carries the fresh aroma of sea-spray, in the everlasting spring, the fresh north wind carries the radiant perfume of blossoming petals, hidden in the snow along the rugged mountain walls, beneath the morning dew, searching for the first ray of sunlight.
Iperborea is a fragrance with a top note of fresh, sparkling, green flowers, with citrus notes and light fruity hints, which open into a radiant heart of blossoming petals; lily of the valley and magnolia, mimosa and cyclamen. Hints of musk and aromatic woods emerge from a soft and intense background of white spring flowers, characterized by precious extracts of orange blossom and jasmine.
Additional notes include green notes, orange, tangerine, peach, musk and woods.
Lorenzo Villoresi Iperborea is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette, and can be found now at First in Fragrance in Germany. (via first-in-fragrance, additional information via extrait.it)
I love the idea behind this fragrance as something to wear when trying to perk up during those last few winter days that seem to go on forever. It sounds lovely.
For some reason the description isn’t calling to me at all. Still, it’s LV, I’ll try it.
I know how you feel about marine scents and I echo that, but I also would give it a shot. Far be it from me to turn my nose up at a scent before giving it a sniff.
Love the idea and the notes, the name not so much.
Some disease names sound pretty similar 🙁
Will give it a sniff when possible though.
Can’t think of what disease, please don’t tell me.
This looks very nice. Lemming is born!
Welcome to the world, lemming 😉
Thanks Robin!
Make that two lemmings!
Quite probably trois!
This sounds like a lovely scent!
That first sentence/paragraph made me feel like I was reading a romance novel. There, beyond the rustling of Fabio’s hair and enormous heaving bosoms, lies the scent of ………………………
😉
Hm.. Wonder what Fabio’s up to these days?
I like Dilmun, and I would be interested in trying this one.
Sniffit, I just tried Dilmun for the first time today. I love it!
oh well then, I just ordered a sample, even if the text is a kind of love child of a failed eau de faux and a bad romance… not sure about the heaving and enormous bosom, though, Bear! Maybe more of the type “evanescent orphan about to meet (and convert, of course) a handsome rake..”
I want to go to Italy and smell the sea-spray, the blossoming petals, the mountain walls, and the morning dew.
I’ll probably be asleep at the first ray of sunlight, though.
On the other hand, here am I. I love the name and LOV, but cyclamen in the notes scares me — that’s the note I know to avoid and haven’t found an exception to the rule yet. Will be glad to try this one to see if this is the exception though 🙂
