Yves Rocher Fruits de Noel ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 18 October 2010 20 Comments

Yves Rocher has launched Fruits de Noël, a holiday collection with two new fragrances:

Orange & Almond (shown) ~ "A gentle scent, perfect for this festive season! Yves Rocher has associated soft and milky notes of almond with the playful and vibrant hues of orange pulp to create a fragrance of irresistible sweetness."

Orange & Chocolate ~ "Yves Rocher was inspired by the finest sweet delicacies to create this unique alliance that combines the robust warm aroma of cocoa with the finesse of a sparkling fresh orange peel. An intense and irresistible accord that whets the palate and meets the expectations of those who love to be surprised."

Yves Rocher Orange & Almond and Orange & Chocolate are available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette, $19 each. (via yvesrocherusa)

Sounds really nice but unfortunately their last Noel fragrance didn’t last on me at all and I loved it. 🙁

I was thinking they’d make better room sprays. But yes, eating is good, too. 🙂 I just passed up some orange chocolate last night, in favor of chili pepper chocolate. Maybe I need to go back and get the orange, too.

Interesting considering your citrus chocolate post the other day, Robin! I’m actually looking for a good orange / vanilla perfume combo. For some reason, I got creamsicle on the brain.

I think Sarah Horowitz’s “Perfect Vanilla” is a great orange/vanilla combo with great staying power. It is a blood orange, so not overly creamsicle, actually a little boozy.

      Have you tried Serendipitous?

Love the colour of the juice. Filtered sunlight should look beautiful flowing through that. I don’t suppose it actually IS that colour? Probably just this rendering of the photo.

I used to get the Yves Rocher catalog all the time and would order their stuff simply because the products were not that bad and secondly, the price was right. I wonder who is running the company now since his passing last year?

Orange and almond sound lovely but I will wait to hear if the staying power is better based on the review for last years offering.

I can’t remember the Yves fragrances I have tried, but I knew one was a floral and it was very light. Not bad, just a little too light for me.

    ORANGE AND CHOCOLATE?

Damn. I am probably just going to buy this without even smelling it.

Okay, I’ll smell it first. But if it is even a tenth of the gorgeous, much-missed Bernard Loiseau Orangette, which is to say a hundredth of Fendi Theorema, I’m there.

Well, if anything this makes me want to break out the Nuit de Noel.

These both sound kind of good, but maybe more so the almond.

I don’t have as much of a worry about longevity at that price as I do with something that costs three to five times as much, that’s for sure.
