Gucci will launch Guilty, their latest fragrance for women, in September. Guilty is for the 'bold and daring glamgirl' who 'thinks only of pleasure', and is fronted by actress/singer Evan Rachel Wood.
Guilty is a floriental perfume; the notes feature mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber and patchouli.
Gucci Guilty will be available in 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette. (via tendance-parfums, with many thanks to Jacob for the link!)
Update: see a review of Gucci Guilty.
I actually got the chance to snif this on a strip ( I know some girls that works in a perfume boutique..they got some info about it) and I must say, that I was surprised who good it smells. Just a bit expensive for an edt.
Good, glad to hear it!
And I love the bottle =)
It seems that geranium is listed as a note pretty often these days.
I like that!!
Of course, I am not ‘bold or daring’, but I’ll still give this a sniff.
That and pink pepper – geez, Louise. Every new thing out there has to have pink something or another, even if it’s supposed to be daring or adult.
What happened to regular ol’ black pepper?
(And, yes, I’m aware pink pepper is a different plant entirely, but the smells, if given justice smell very similar or quite the same.)
I guess the “pink” part adds pizzazz, but what if a girl has tired of pink?
the truest black pepper I’ve ever smelled is in that Pattern Black Pepper Body Wash. It’s nice stuff and the scent doesn’t cling to you after your shower….which is good because I don’t necessarily want to smell like fresh ground pepper all day. Jessica reviewed the line back in March? or April?
Kevin liked that body wash too. I need to try it.
A gal never gets tired of pink, but of pink pepper – or maybe she gets to become a grown-up?!
😉
Actually, I have been tired of pink for decades. When I was little my whole bedroom was pink–drapes, sheets, bedspread, etc.–not because I liked it but because my mother liked it (I think it had something to do with me being the only girl after my parents had had three boys). My favorite color was, and is, green.
I will certainly give it a try too!
I love geranium in a composition — it adds a sort of astringent aspect that most soft florals don’t have.
I like Evan Rachel Wood too.
I will definitely try this… Gucci has done some good fragrances! I am not a ‘bold and daring glamgirl who thinks only of pleasure’ so I wonder will this still make me feel like I’ve done something naughty even if I haven’t? Hmm, that could be okay I suppose…
OOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!!!! HOW COOL! ok, can i just say, L-O-V-E That Bottle! WICKED! the notes sound Pleasing Enough as well… Like theTom Ford-Like Advertising Idea behind it, even the photo smacks of a Ford-Era Gucci. as i always say, am willing to give anything with Peach in it a chance and love the Juxtaposition of Lilac with that note. Definitely a winner!
Gucci Rush was one of my first loves and still remains at the top of my favorites list. This one seems to be headed in that same direction and I can’t wait to try it. Love that bottle too!
I was totally into Gucci Rush for quite awhile too, it’s really a lovely scent.
I like geranium in a scent and these notes sound like an interesting combination. Besides, as a terribly responsible middle-aged college professor who thinks about feeding the cats and putting a load of wash in before I think about pleasure, I may owe it to myself to try this!
This does seem like a continuation of the Ford-era Gucci frags…Envy, Rush, and now Guilty! The ad is pretty Ford-ian as well…can’t blame Gucci for going back to a successful well, I guess. I’m positive this won’t smell nearly as daring and bad-girl as the name and PR suggest, but that’s par for the course these days . Nobody’s willing to make the next Poison…perhaps with good reason, but still, it’s a bit disenchanting.
How exciting! Guilty is almost as seductive a name as Envy. Loving the bottle as well!
Gucci pretty much nailed my bad girl love with L’Arte (which they’re *guilty* of discontinuing ha), but this does sound really interesting. And while I prefer a good dose of black pepper over pink in a frag–Parfume Sacre is one of my latest loves with all its spicy, peppery goodness–all these notes just sound like they’ll be great together.
I just think True Blood when I think of Evan Rachel Wood, so this fragrance concept actually works well for her character.
Ha! I always think of her as Lucy in Across the Universe, a very different character, but the vampire queen is a much better image for a scent named Guilty.
The name seems to follow a long-honored tradition of “bad girl” names–My Sin, Scandal, Tabu, and so forth.
this is a nice juice..i agree expensive for an edt but sits on the skin nicely for a while…it is a must smell
You can see the teaser trailer on youtube! It looks cool! I LOVE Chris Evans! LOL! It’s premiering during the VMAs on MTV. : )
Here’s the actual commercial. : ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xKJW9ZfDjs
Thanks!
Bought this yesterday along with the new Queen Letifah QOH! The bottle and the ad are GORGEOUS!
