I just looked at the luckyscent site this afternoon, and specifically at the new Agonist scent. FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS FOR 50 ML OF EAU DE PARFUM!!! Sorry to shout, but I was stunned. Even after looking at jillions of pricey niche fragrances, that floored me. OK, I have paid $300 for a 30 ml bottle of Guerlain extrait, which is the same price per ml, but it was extrait, not EdP.
Incidentally, could someone else look at this frag and tell me if I am the only one who thinks the bottle is really bizarre. I think it looks like a blender having a meltdown.
In this particular case, the price is almost certainly due to the handblown bottle, and not the perfume itself…in fact, if you check out their website they make a bigger deal about the bottles than the scents.
I realize that, but still…you can’t wear the bottle. I like a nice bottle as much as anyone, but I will NOT pay that big a premium for it. In any case, I do not even like this bottle, so I have no incentive to pay extra for it.
Oh, was not arguing that you should buy one, just saying that’s probably the reason.
