Mark Instant Vacation RioRhythms & RioBikini ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 28 April 2010 11 Comments

Mark Instant Vacation RioRhythms

Avon's Mark brand has launched two new limited edition fragrances in the Instant Vacation range:

Mark Instant Vacation RioRhythms (shown) ~ "Rio’s intense energy and unmistakable sensuality inspired this vibrant floral blend, a combination of jasmine petals, coconut water, peony, gardenia and lilac. As the fragrance wears on, vanilla, warm wood and amber lend an alluring warmth."

Mark Instant Vacation RioBikini ~ "All the fun and playfulness of Rio, captured with a blend of pitaya fruit, juicy kiwi, coconut milk and exotic flowers. Beachy notes and sandalwood give the scent a warm, sunny feel."

Mark Instant Vacation RioRhythms and RioBikini are $18 each for 50 ml Fragrance Mist. (via meetmark)

If I have learned nothing else here (which would not be true), I have at least expanded my vocabulary. Pitaya is dragonfruit. I had no idea.

I have no desire to try these. The names make me gag a little.

Yeah, I feel repelled by anything that says “bikini.”

Mark’s audience is obviously younger than we are, I’m sure that’s a selling point.

After reading the description I realized my face looked like I smelled something really bad. Maybe someone that over sprayed their Hawaiian Ginger Calgon body mist…. If the description can do that, then I will not seek out the fragrance.

If it was named Teeny Weeny Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini
I would buy it. Especially if it was the lovechild of Colony and Bronze Goddess.

I like lilac and amber. I might try the rhythms one. I own True Glow by Avon (within my budget) and it’s not bad for the price.

I don’t get to try many of their scents, but the few I’ve tried have been reasonably good for the price, I’d agree.

Actually, mark has some nice scents. They don’t compete with niche offerings, but then, they’re not meant to. RioRhythms looks fun.

You can’t beat the price, that’s for sure!
