Wow, seems like an unusual amount of perfume “mention” in mags this round. Not that the fragrances mentioned have me frothing at the mouth to rush out and buy—-but still, fragrance normally gets completely ignored.
On a side note…because I haven’t complained about celebrities all week….Robert Patterson is annoyingly smug looking and probably needs to be slapped, Kate Moss looks oddly reptilian in that photo and it’s interesting how V.Beckham thinks she’s 16…..
well, I feel better now.
I had never heard of Robert Pattinson. Did not recognize Kate Moss at all. Or Tina Fey. Victoria Beckham looks just like her usual self though.
Agree with you about Robert Pattinson – that photo with his head backed up against a woman’s crotch is just…ugh. And Keira Knightly looks way too skinny, as usual. She’s a pretty girl, but she needs some meat on her bones.
I got flamed last time I said that about Keira. I just wish her cheeks weren’t so sunken in. And that hand/arm position makes her look like her shoulder is dislocated. Ok, I’ll stop now.
The March issue of InStyle features Uma Thurman with Givenchy Ange ou Demon in Beauty Talk and Issey Miyake Fleur de Bois among the Editor’s Picks. There is also one page of the Beauty section devoted to fragrance this month: a short on Balenciaga Paris, Trend Notes on oud, and a bit about a Narciso Rodriguez blush, lip balm and For Her rollerball in a palette.
Scent strips: Flora by Gucci; Beyonce Heat
Great — many thanks!!
I notice the Chandler Burr article summary mentions folks “keeping secrets to themselves” again, just like that Standard article you profiled. Boy, lots of secretive perfume spritzers, apparently.
Apparently! I don’t know any of them.
Robin, did you like the Ange Ou Demon Le Secret?
I still haven’t tried it! I mostly avoid scent strips.
I love this roundup! Is it done every month?
Yes, but not always the exact same magazines.
