YESSSSSS! IT’S FATE! So, I wanted FlowerBomb, but I wanted it to come to Macy’s since I have a Macy’s card! It’s been out since 05′ and it still hadn’t hit Macy’s, so I didn’t think it was meant to be :(. SURE ENOUGH, it come’s to MACY’S! I mean, what are the freakin’ ods?????

Will be interesting now to see how long it takes for them to get Eau Mega!

But you know you can get it so much cheaper at an online discounter.

I’ve been kinda scared to trust a discounter. I’ve been thinking about it. I’m just scared it won’t come in a retail box sealed and be the real scent. Paranoia 🙁

You know — that’s exactly what they want you to think! Keeps people paying full retail price. Personally, I don’t even care about the sealed box, so I buy testers (even cheaper) when I can.

Yep, that’s what we regularly told customers – it’s old product, not legitimate, or stolen. Mean, I know. :/

I have to tell you that I’ve gotten consistently quality stuff from Beauty Encounter. There are one or two discounters that I’ve gotten spoiled stuff from, but I won’t name names.

I am a firm believer in the fact that you can get spoiled stuff from anywhere — anytime, including department stores. There isn’t a single discounter that I’ve never heard a complaint about, but the reputable stores do their best and will accept an item if you complain about its condition. And I’ve bought untold amounts of perfume from discounters without incident.

I just got my trade mag in today, and apparently Beauty Encounter has had an amazing year. Great site.

True, but if you don’t live near a Saks or Nordstrom, chances are you won’t know what it smells like. This is going to put FB into nearly everyone’s reach now.

Most of my bottles are testers from work and I have no qualms about buying from discounters. The only sketchy (and laughably so) place I’ve found to buy fragrance is Canal St in NYC… but you can still score testers there in the odd stall.

Forgot to mention Flower Bomb and Antidote are readily available at the L’Oreal outlets, mixed in with Notorious, Armani and etc. I’m hoping some of the Armani collection will appear there someday.

I have several testers, bought on Ebay, and they are all OK and a lot cheaper than the regular price.

Hahahahah! I know I’m one of their faves! I hate testers! I hate it when things don’t come in boxes! The REAL boxes! I don’t know why that is. I won’t even buy a set. I have to buy everything seperate so each item will have it’s own box. No, it is NOT good for my wallet! JonR just told me the other day he bought a 3.4 oz Queen by Queen Latifah that came with the body butter for 35 bucks! My body butter alone was 40 bucks! However, I don’t mind paying extra since my fragrance and my B.B has different packaging. I also want to contribute to help making this fragrance a success. You don’t see too many women of color with their own fragrances. Mariah Carey, Queen Latifah, Beyonce, Rihanna…:) I’ll be a very happy camper next year 🙂

That’s true, and don’t forget Halle Berry’s 2nd outing, Pure Orchid.

Haahaha! How could I forget Halle?! Yeah, hers also! Wow! Oh, Robin! Who would’ve thought? No way is the celeb fragrance fad is dying! I believe even if they did celebs would still be asked to be the face for designer fragrances. It’s been happening forever (Marilyn with the gross Chanel No5).

I think sales are down, and that’s why people keep saying it’s dying out…they assume companies will respond to falling sales by bringing out fewer celebrity perfumes. Turns out it’s the opposite: they respond by bringing out more.
