My Spanish is rusty and I can't follow the dialogue, but despite that (or perhaps because of it?) I love this commercial for Agatha Ruiz de la Prada's Oh La La fragrance.

Maybe because it’s in French? 😉
Love the bottle.
Or is it Spanish with a French accent???
My Spanish is rusty, but my French is nonexistent — still, I think that’s Spanish.
I really liked it too!
It’s fun.
Hiya!
The commercial is in Spanish with a French accent and it only describes what you see ,just like in the film Amelie (the narrator’s voice off).
I have never smelled any of her perfumes but her kid’s clothes are awesome and so it is the stationery she designs(very cute and colourful),happy xmas to all in advance,Lorena.
Happy Xmas to you too! And agree, she makes fun things.
Yes, a huge French accent. I thought maybe it was Catalan or Gallego or some other language spoken in Spain, but it is not quite unintelligible Spanish!
I’m sure it’s intelligible, and I ought to understand it (would be embarrassed to admit how many years of Spanish I took, and many moons ago I even passed a fluency test) but I don’t.
Fun clip…..that’s a heck of a mustache! Very Snidely Whiplash.
Yes!
Whimsical.
Yes.
Am I the only one who thinks of Craig Ferguson now when they hear “oh la la”? lol
If you don’t watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson – any time he swears on the show, a French flag shows up over his mouth and the swear word is replaced by a recording of him saying “Oh la la!” Makes me laugh every time.
That’s so funny — off to search YouTube!
OMG, hysterical clip that also explains everything that is wrong with the fragrance industry:

The oh la la isn’t until near the end.
LMAO! *wiping away tears* Thank you for finding that one, Robin! I missed that night. Actually, though I am a night-owl by nature, I am trying to get to bed earlier in my old age, so I actually, ehem, DVR the show now. I feel like it’s cheating. lol Anyway, I love his rants. I agree with him on almost everything he says, he’s HILARIOUS, he has great guests, I love his format (or lack thereof), AND he’s adorable and has a Scottish accent. What’s not to love?
I’ll share with you one of my favorite more recent opening monologues:

Come join the late-night cult of Craig. 🙂
Most awesome. I had never seen him before…I watched Conan sometimes, but stopped Tivoing him when he moved to the Tonight Show…between that & Jon Stewart, I couldn’t keep up even with Tivo. No time! But maybe I’ll start Tivoing Craig Ferguson for a bit.
I know, my sister is furious for all the hours that his shows are taking up on our DVR. 😛
I love that commercial – so much better than the usual rolling about and trying to look sexy that many ads consist of. I like the aesthetic of the whole design – it reminded me of look of the late, lamented show “Pushing Daisies”.
I missed that show, but heard it was great.
Nice fun-clip 🙂
🙂
Fun spot, but couldn’t they have chosen a more original name?
Between “Ooh la la” by Victoria’s Secret and Oh-la-la by Azzaro, someone at R&D should have suggested something else maybe…
Good point, although I’m guessing they aren’t competing w/ Victoria’s Secret in Spain or Latin America where ARdlP is big, and not sure the Azzaro is still around?
Hi!
You are right Robin
Here, in Latin America, ARdlP has many folllowers and you can find all her fragrances in Argentina
The other two “Oh la la” have not arrived yet. 😀 Me gustó el “spot” de este anuncio también.
Happy Xmas!
A very happy Xmas to you as well!
(and thanks — that’s about the level of Spanish I can still read, ha)
Hi, we share the same username, only in another language 😀
Hi 😀
That’s great! we love perfume….
Funny, I only just now was able to watch this and totally assumed this was Catalan and thought, “Hmmm, maybe that’s why you can’t understand it!” Interesting to listen to other languages spoken in different accents — French spoken with an American accent is quite a hoot (though I’m sure not to high school French teachers!).
French (or I should say, perfume French) with an American accent is the only French I speak — and even I know it’s a hoot!
