Canadian beauty brand Lise Watier has launched Folies Neiges, a new flanker to the line's popular Neiges fragrance:

FOLIES NEIGES is this ardent, vibrant, free-as-air spirit that invites fantasies to take flight. Perfume of pleasure, perfume for every occasion, it graces the wildest moments… the ones that carry us to the threshold of dream and reality, to that magic instant where real life yields to a daydream world. After NEIGES, FOLIES NEIGES is the awakening of a new spirit. One that simply cannot be ignored…

After all, what would life be without a touch of folly?

As startling as a peal of laughter in the night, FOLIES NEIGES is a joyous perfume with invigorating notes, created for the elegant young woman with a zest for life, at ease in her skin and in her world. FOLIES NEIGES unfurls in a flurry of citrusy notes, imbued with fruity, refreshing accents of orange and mandarin. Gently frenetic, the perfume blossoms into a floral chord of soft spring blooms, in a nod to the NEIGES bouquet of white flowers, which evokes the refreshing feeling of a gust of pure wintry air.

Lise Watier Folies Neiges is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via press release)

Hard to tell based on the description…

My new favorite oxymoron: gently frenetic.

i misread “frenetic” as “generic” and couldn’t help but be astounded how honest they could be for a change.

    then i re-read it.

Finally! A perfume that is all things to all people. It’s a miracle!
A purple dress does sound nice though.

      That ad is very 80’s.

My vision is bad–is she wearing a bunch of bananas on that dress, or is that something else?

I have tried the original Neiges…it’s clean and powdery and I suppose meant to evoke snow. I suppose this one is too? The ad does look very 80s.

Seeing that it is a fruity floral, I bet those are bananas! But, what’s on her feet?

Why do you guys think it’s a fruity floral?

Yeah, it sounds floral but not overly sweet to me. Still, how can you tell from the copy? As has been noted, it sounds like a fragrance trying to be all things to all people. Bottle looks Avon-ish.

I think it’s the fruity citrus and white flowers that made it sound like a fruity floral.

This is some crazy ad copy! I quite liked the original Neiges once upon a time, because it’s a white floral w/hyacinth and no tuberose or gardenia (neither one like me much.) I haven’t liked any of the flankers since, though.

I haven’t tried any of the flankers, just the original…which I think must be more popular in Canada than it is here.

Does anyone know where I could buy a sample of the original “Neiges” on-line? Advice would be greatly appreciated. I can only find 50 or 100 ml bottles and, call me cheap, I prefer not to buy anything unsniffed.

I’m sorry but I don’t know…maybe you could email from the Lise Watier website and ask?

If she had a witch’s hat, I totally would have thought this was another Paris Hilton thing. The ad is pretty campy but not nearly enough.

I love when scents smell either “hot” or “cold” but somehow I don’t think this will deliver a wintry gust up to my standards. xP

Neiges is cold…but don’t know if it would meet your standards 😉
