Les Exclusifs are now online? Does this mean they are no longer “exclusif”?

perhaps they are now “moins d’exclusif”

LOL…well, they didn’t lower the price, so I’d still call them exclusive!

You know, the price for that much juice in my mind is actually fantastic. It’s just that splitting is the way to go. $1 per ml makes me do a happy dance if I love a scent.

I have my Sycomore split on its way as we speak. YES!

I don’t think it’s unreasonable either, esp. in comparison to what other brands are up to.

And just yesterday the Nordie’s SA was bragging on how limited the distribution is… :D Since I finally got a chance to sniff a few…

lessenteurs has Byredo alright, but they won’t ship to the USA.

“territory restrictions” I believe is what they call it. Since they’ll happily ship other fragrance lines to the US, I’d assume it is a restriction established by the fine folks at the Byredo home office.

Thanks C, that’s where I ordered the Pulp from yesterday….would have been nice to get a better price from lessenteurs though. Which reminds me to email Kevin and let him know it’s on the way!

All I know is that immense danger is only a click away now. I want Sycomore, Beige, Bois des Iles, and Coromandel to start…

check out scentsplits —there are sveral people doing straight up splits of chanels. You could pick up 50ml of almost any of them for around $60.

Fortunately, I was already wearing something and didn’t try any on skin yet…whew…lemming averted for now. Definitely curious about Bel Respiro though…so will sample at some point, then look for a split.

Oh, I am so excited about the Chanel! I’ve been wanting to try those forever–which, of course, this still doesn’t solve the “but what do they smell like?” problem. For that, I’ll need the perfumed court to do a decant. I’ve been putting that off, since even in sample form, the price is absurd. Trying to justify spending $50 on samples…I suppose if I wasn’t greedy and didn’t want to try them ALL! Argh. What’s a girl to do?

No Nordstrom’s near you? Hadn’t seen them there previously, but there were there yesterday, prominently displayed.

And now I see that you already mentioned smelling them at Nordstrom. Sorry, I’m not real bright sometimes. Did they have samples by any chance? Surely I couldn’t get that lucky.

Well, I can tell you right now that the very best one of the bunch is 31 Rue Cambon. lol, but of course some of the others are nice too. 28 La Plausa is nice but disappears and Bois des Iles is also nice but short lived. Sycamore is good stuff too.

If they did, they were not forthcoming with them, and I didn’t ask. I was just passing by on my way to l’O. Nice experience there, btw… that SA somehow recognized me (I was in there *once*, about a year ago!). I chatted him up a bit, we discussed a few non-l’O scents, and I let him talk me into a set (and give me samples, of course). :)

Ugh, so they didn’t have them at the Nordstrom near me. :( I’ll have to call around. Nordstrom is usually awesome about giving samples if you ask, so I’ll let you know if I can wrangle any!

You know, I’ve never asked them. Anyone who knows me only online would never guess it, but I’m actually more of the shrinking violet sort who hopes they won’t even notice I’m there. I may drag my MIL over to the MOA to shop for her birthday (since her son is working all day); if I do, maybe I’ll be bold.

They will make them for you if they are not already made up. :)

Thanks so much for everyone’s feedback. After several failed attempts, I was able to FINALLY smell them! They didn’t have the whole collection (no Sycamore, Beige or No. 22), which was unfortunate, but I was able to get them to make up samples of La Pausa, 31 Rue Cambon, Bois de Iles, and Coromandel. I think the latter two might be my favorite so far. I really thought La Pausa would be my baby, since I love iris, but you’re right, Daisy, it just doesn’t last. I think when all is said and done, maybe I’ll be glad if I’m NOT crazy about any of them, just because it will save me money!
