Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette, Jill Stuart Sweet Dreams ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 17 December 2008 13 Comments

Jill Stuart & Jill Stuart Sweet Dreams perfumes

Jill Stuart has launched Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette and Jill Stuart Sweet Dreams. Both fragrances are currently available only in Asia.

Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette launched in December 2007 (yes, we are rather late), and is dedicated to "all girls who never forget to dream". The fragrance notes include cassis, pear, green apple, lemon, aquatic green notes, rose, gardenia, peony, lily of the valley, jasmine, magnolia, orange blossom, musk, sandalwood, cedar, amber and vanilla. The bottle (shown above left) is "designed to capture the beauty of a big, sparkling diamond", and the seven crystals represent the seven flowers in the heart notes. Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette is available in 30 and 50 ml.

Jill Stuart Sweet Dreams (shown above right) is a limited edition flanker to the original Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette, and launched this month in Japan:

Combining the fresh fragrance of JillStuart Eau de Toilette with the sweet scent of vanilla that Jill adores we have created a romantic and sexy limited-edition fragrance just for you.

The notes are the same as for Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette, with the additions of mandarin and vanilla orchid. Jill Stuart Sweet Dreams is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Oh my word, those bottles are GORGEOUS, imo. Japan gets to have all the fun. :-D

You know, I'm pretty sure there's a Jill Stuart boutique in NYC, so wondering if these are there…I should have checked first.

Usually a long list like that doesn't indicate that the fragrance has more ingredients than anything else, just that they're providing a more comprehensive list than most companies bother with — so I like long lists :-)

Those bottles are so beautiful… I hope the perfume is just as good. I like long lists too… The simple ones just don't seem as special.

I agree the bottles alone would be worth having just like little works of art.

Really? Thanks for saying that Robin. I'll have to read your article on notes (been meaning too). I hope it smell more like the flowers than the fruit. It should I guess, since the flowers get crystals. I'm young at heart and still have dreams – so I hope to snatch a sample.

Hard to say — but if it's geared towards the Asian market, guessing it might be lighter than it sounds. But just guessing!

I wonder if they'll launch here at all…I guess we'll have to wait & see.

Ha, I was going to comment that those have to be *the* most horribly twee bottles I ever laid eyes on. I'll have to bite my tongue given the other comments.
Oh well, chacun à son gout, n'est-ce pas?

Zoe, they aren't to my taste either — I liked the bottles JS used for her first trio much better. But yes, to each his own…

I think they had the potential of being quite nice had the caps been different. These caps make the bottles look somewhat gaudy (ducking to avoid flying objects aimed at my head lol)

Well, I'll duck the lowest because there really isn't anything I like about them — even w/ a different cap, it just wouldn't be my style.
