Andy Tauer of Tauer Perfumes will be hosting an Advent giveaway starting today and continuing through December 24. To participate, click on today's date on the Advent calendar. You'll be taken to a blog post where you'll need to comment to enter for the drawing.
Daily prizes will include samples of Tauer's "experimental, fresh from the lab" Une rose chyprée fragrance, plus daily specials such as samples, discovery sets or full bottles of other perfumes in the line (today, a bottle of L’air du désert marocain is up for grabs).
thanks for the FYI, R!
Une Rose Chypree looks like something I would enjoy! :~)
Nice! Thanks for tipping us to this. I hope I remember to go over there and click every day (chance of that happening for all 24 days…. HA!).
Good luck to all! I wouldn't mind winning a bottle of Desert Marocain myself 😉
Systematically not getting my hopes up too high. However, free perfume? I'm there.
Being split 50-50, I have to ask a stupid question: Does “Mail” mean address or email?
I thought the same thing about mail too. I gave my email address cos if you are the winner, they can always email you for your address! I was looking at the shop and thinking that once I get a new job, I will have to have a few of these! Like the flat rate shipping too as it sucks having to pay more for shipping than the perfume when you order overseas!
WANT WANT WANT!!!
Sorry guys, I don't know which he wants.
I won I won I won!!! Thank you for posting this, Robin, as I am now one bottle of Maroc pour Elle richer, plus I get to try the new Une Rose Chypree. Andy is pretty awesome to do this for us, and he has a fan for life.
Hey, that's wonderful, congrats!
heh, I won again!!! l”air du Desert Marocain this time. Yowza.
LOL — that's incredible!! Congrats.
The new rose is very, VERY good. Lots of very rich oakmoss at the start, opening out into a gorgeous, sweet, deep and candied/powdery rose. The oakmoss provides a velvet cushion and adds a vintage-like classic quality, yet there’s something in there that’s edgy and modern and very Andy Tauer. Feminine and wonderfully rose dominant, and also earthy enough for a guy to wear quite easily, if he’s okay with the light dusting of powder. A dark, rich incense or benzoin-type note emerges later, and it is superb.
Yeah, I love it too and said about the same thing – classically elegant with a bit of edge, like a rich woman who rides a Harley. I hope he releases it soon, but he's sitting on it right now until he can organize everything.
Yeah, I asked about the release date and it sounded like it might not be any time soon.
