I want to try Sheherazade (818), and maybe Caveman and Aztec
but I thought this was a cooler idea until I saw what the 10 fragrances were

Cute concept, and the 826 writing centers seem like really great organizations! I'm debating that price point for ten 1ml vials, but it's for a good cause, so I may just consider it a charitable donation with benefits…

ooh – this might have to go on my Xmas wish list – $5 a sample is pretty heady but I've paid worse, and pretty much all of these seem worth a sniff. Plus, it's always nice to support a worthy cause and still get a new toy out of it!

These are actually cheaper than the regular YOSH line, so might be a good way to try them.

LOL — but this is presumably supposed to be times you'd WANT to travel to!

Some of them sound interesting….but….but….while I can get washed suede, what about denim? *feels stupid* Is it supposed to smell like jeans? :o)) Then, I hope that's washed too :o))

I think this is pretty innovative of YOSH to make scents that represent an era in time and in the future, at a reasonable price!

Top 3 Scents (I'd like to try) :

    -Sheherazade (818)

    -Silk Road (1280)

    -Dystopia (77778)

I'm on board with the concept…I like the creative reflection between it and the cause it's sales will benefit. (Gee, perfume and writing; d'ya think a scent blogger/respondent might be interested? 🙂 )

Question, though: What is the concentration of the samples? Are all Yosh perfume strength? Help a Yosh newbie…

This sounds like so much fun. And I agree that when it comes to sample prices, we've all paid worse! I have only ever tried one YOSH, Ginger Ciao. It had some oils in it so was quite strong and very long lasting.

What is kukui nut and foraha?

I have just sniffed my bottle of unrefined kukui nut oil (a great conditioning oil for oily skin..) and it smells green, fresh, very much like bamboo. If that's the smell of the future, I dont know 🙂 but I like the concept.

Good questions — maybe it's one of those cotton-y musks? But just guessing!

Sheherazade might be my favorite (not having smelled them, of course).

ScentScelf, they're perfume oils, which aren't usually given a concentration like EdT/EdP — they ought to be parfum strength though.

They're both essential oils, and I've never smelled either so am not going to be any help. Foraha is also known as Tamanu oil if you want to google it.

Lovely concept, though it does make me wonder why Utopia and Dystopia are spaced only a year apart. Are they trying to tell me that Utopia is attainable only at the price of being short-lived & soon thereafter followed by none other than Dystopia? And why is Pluto no longer a planet, I ask? More to the point, do you think I ought to go to sleep already? LOL!

Seriously though, sampling the whole set would be a fun experience. I'd love to travel back to my birth year just to see what all the fuss was about.

Yeah, Utopia doesn't last long, does it!!!

And yeah, would also be cool to have a “birth year” set of perfumes, wouldn't it?

On Pluto, this was very upsetting in my house. We've decided to ignore the new ruling.

Had to try this, and I'm not sorry. Each one is clever and different, “Gold Rush” really does smell like new denim and appears to have dirt floating in the juice, “Studio 54” has glitter ditto. “Victorian Violet” is a charming….Violet.

    What a great idea!

I have been bad and ordered the “Histoires De Parfums” sampler to compare.
