Andy Tauer of Tauer Perfumes is celebrating his blog's third anniversary by giving away 100 free samples of his upcoming vetiver fragrance:
The sample is a pre-sniff of the upcoming Vetiver from Tauer. The fragrance still has no name. It is a fragrance built around vetiver from Java, with fresh grapefruit, lots of black pepper and green clary notes in the head. Lily of the valley contrasts the dark vetiver and crisp Cedar wood, leading over to a soft ambergris base with hints of Tonka beans and cistus.
To get your free sample (one per person, please!) fill out the form at the Tauer website. Update: The samples are all taken now, sorry!
Drat, eh? I hope YOU snared one!
Well of course I knew about it in advance so could cheat 😉
Thanks for the post! I received my sample today 😀
That was fast!
Me too!
I got it today…. and boy… it did make my day!
😉
Thanx for the tip!
Good to hear! Mine arrived too 🙂
yup! International mail sure can be speedy. It made my day also. 🙂
Looooved it and will order this fragrance as soon as it is on the market. !!! Yes, yes, yes 😀
Will be interesting to see what he names it!
I got mine very quickly too. And what a treat this is – it's a real wonder of a scent, sometimes smelling of vetiver, other times of smoke (as in Andy's other scents), sometimes cold and aloof, others it's warm and sweet.
I have worn this four items already and it's on my “must buy” list when it's launched in October.
Forgot to add: it has terrific longevity, lasting 16 hours on my skin, though it does sit close to the skin.
Yup, it's a real beauty…
And now it has been named — Vetiver Dance 🙂
Am I crazy, or does anyone else think the drydown smells very much like Caleche?
You're crazy!
Just kidding, but it didn't strike me that way, at least, not on the first try. Next time I'll try to pay attention!
