The final programme gives contestants one week to create an original male fragrance.
They will launch their scent to 100 industry experts, including top names Givenchy, Roja Dove and Estee Lauder.
Each team will be seen choosing three of the previously fired candidates to help them complete the task.
— The four finalists on the BBC version of The Apprentice will battle it out at 2100 BST (whatever that means) tonight. Read more at the BBC.
You're making this up, right?
If only…
Reason no 136 to dislike that wretched programe.
1-135 are mostly based on the amount of radio airwaves given today to discussing who might win.
Gives more reality tv contestants hope that they can sell some tedious concotion with no effort once out, woopee(!)
British Summer Time. Personally, can't wait for 9 o'clock to see who wins. If it's that slimy Alex, I'll scream.
I haven't laughed so much for ages as I did during the 'Kosher chicken' fiasco.
I have never seen it! I did see the US version once, and luckily did not get hooked — these reality shows are so time consuming if you get sucked in (I say this with great certainty having watched one season of American Idol).
I'll have to google the kosher chicken fiasco…that sounds intriguing!
Ha, slimy Alex didn't win! His team came up with a perfume called 'Dual', which actually had a really nifty bottle idea – there was a small bottle inserted into the side of the big one, so you could decant 25ml to carry around. Brilliant! Unfortunately, it would apparently have cost a fortune to produce, and left them with no budget for advertising. Also, it looked like one of those bottles you buy oil for cars in. And the finished product smelled like Angel, apparently.
Still, Roja Dove said they'd done brilliantly in such a short time, and he thought there really was a place on the market for this stuff, so it couldn't have been entirely awful.
The other team produced something called 'Roulette', which was apparently entirely forgettable.
Don't think we'll be seeing either of these any time soon on shelves near us…
Lee won, for anyone who's bothered.
Sounds entertaining! I'll have to see if any clips end up on YouTube.
So true. I've lived without cable and/or a TV for years, but I am just shockingly, embarrassingly into So You Think You Can Dance. I got really hooked last season and it is such a time commitment – two nights out of my week where I have to trudge over to my brother's now!
Those shows are like crack! A friend convinced me to give it a shot a couple years ago, and dh laughed at me as I got sucked in, then before you know it, there he was sitting next to me TWO nights a week. What a massive waste of time! Commercials every 10 minutes! But who can stop once you're into the story? I told him to shoot me if I watched so much as one episode the following fall, but luckily I wasn't even tempted.
It was great fun to watch and I agree with you on the Castrol-style packaging of Dual but men love gadgets, so the bottle was clever in that regard. I was disappointed that so little airtime was given to the creation of the actual scent, but maybe that is because both were dashed off in the nose's coffee break, as that is pretty much all the time they had. I was interested to see that one team started with the brand name, the other with the bottle. I'm sure SJP had the juice in mind first with Lovely!
