Loewe Aguazul, Solo Loewe Intense ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 30 May 2008 10 Comments

Loewe Aguazul fragranceLoewe has launched Aguazul, a new limited edition unisex flanker to 2000's Loewe Agua:

The universality of Agua de Loewe finds a different side, through a transparent, fresh and pure new version: Aguazul de Loewe.

A blue and crystal clear water drop, that brings to our senses a message filled with vitality and character.

Aguazul features notes of yuzu, bergamot, clementine, pink grapefruit, pineapple, spring water, green apple, cassis, musk, sandalwood and cedar.

Loewe Aguazul is available in 100 and 150 ml Eau de Toilette (a 50 ml size is exclusive to Portugal).

Loewe Solo Loewe Intense cologne for menAlso new from Loewe, Solo Loewe Eau de Cologne Intense, a flanker to 2004's Solo Loewe for men. Despite the "Intense" designation, it is described as "a lighter fragrance than the original thanks to its olfactive notes such as melon, lemon and mandarin".

The Solo Loewe Intense fragrance features notes of thyme, lavender, guava, cashmere, patchouli, melon, lemon, tangerine, cinnamon, cumin, green pepper, amber and musk.

Solo Loewe Intense is available in 50, 75 and 125 ml Eau de Cologne. The 125 ml can be found now at Harrods in the UK. (via loewe)

A Intense fragrance Light? O.o If this continues, soon we're going to see light fragrances darker and more intense thant the original ones.

I'm not sure what they mean either…maybe that it's intense for an Eau de Cologne???

I tried Cologne Intense here, in Russia. In first notes it is very similar to Azzaro Chrome, but then it turns into something fresh, but boring and uninteresting.

Thanks! Would you have described it as lighter than the original Solo?

It is completely different scent, I'm puzzled why it was given the name Solo… But of course it is much lighter than classical Solo, for men from 16 to 25, I think. Solo Eau de Cologne is a typical fresh fragrance, in first notes it is very-very similar to Chrome… Longevity is average, worse than longevity of original Solo and than longevity of Chrome.

I really like that Aguazul bottle. But a bottle never sold me on a fragrance.
