Cartier will launch Roadster for Men this coming September. The "mineral fougère" fragrance with a "powerful mint note" was named for the Cartier Roadster watch, and was developed by Cartier perfumer Mathilde Laurent, who noted...
It was interesting to work with because it is difficult to make mint play well with other ingredients. The manner of working on it was very Cartier; I used the ingredients as a jeweler uses precious stones.
The notes for Cartier Roadster include bergamot, mint, vetiver, patchouli, labdanum, cashmere wood and vanilla.
Cartier Roadster will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. It will launch at Bloomingdales and Cartier boutiques in September, elsewhere in October. (quotes via cosmeticnews, additional information via wwd) Update: see a review of Cartier Roadster.
Oscar de la Renta has launched Oscar Summer 2008, a limited edition summer fragrance:
The scent is said to capture the light and breezy elegance of summer and features sparkling citrus notes, atop a floral heart and exotic base.

Two thoughts: Without the… what is that? A tail light, or a closeup of a watch?… for references, the Cartier bottle looks a little like a baby bottle. And, if this was CdG's juice instead of Cartier's, a scent named Roadster would smell like the leather interior and the exhaust fumes of an actual car.
LOL — and now I will be reminded of a baby bottle every time I see it!
The Cartier bottle looks strange but this could be an interesting scent and Mathilde Laurent is something of a star isn't she?
Yes, she is, and glad she is doing something at Cartier other than custom scents, which seems a sad waste of her time to me.
I love Cartier fragrances. In general they're very unique and intereresting. Santos Sport, Declaration Essence, Must Essence, Pasha Fraiche Menthe and Le Baiser du Dragon edp are one of my few favorites from the fragrance house. To me the bottle looks like a pen.
I want it!
The cap is supposed to mimick the watch's crown.
It is interesting, although I do not like too much mint on my scents 🙁
I end up smelling like toothpaste.
Regards
P.
Hope you'll get one then! I don't generally love the women's Cartier fragrance line, and have not paid enough attention to the men's — will have to rectify that.
P, Then you've saved yourself some $$ 😉
I was (generously) given an advance bottle… this is my favorite so far of new Men's launches.
I know Kevin has smelled it, but I haven't yet. Will try to this weekend!
