Posted by Robin on 15 April 2008 16 Comments

Vive Maria Miss Behave fragrance

German lingerie line Vive Maria has launched two "deliciously naughty fragrances", Mis(s) Behave and Almost Innocent:

The first two fragrance creations from Vive Maria are erotic-provocative compositions, specifically made for individualistic women who possess the courage for their own sensuality – and who also dare to act out the two most contradictory aspect

Mis(s) Behave (shown) is an oriental fragrance featuring notes of mandarin, juniper berry, sage blossom, nutmeg, davana, currant, peach blossom, paradise apple, rose, plum, fig, cinnamon, tonka bean, incense, styrax and myrrh.

Almost Innocent is a creamy floral with litchi, citrus, madonna lily, magnolia, jasmine, white peach, Lebanon cedar, amber and vanilla.

Vive Maria Almost Innocent and Mis(s) Behave are available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum. (quote via selfridges, additional information via vivemariabeauty)

Bath & Body Works Blushing Cherry Blossom fragranceBath & Body Works has launched Blushing Cherry Blossom:

Cherry blossoms blended with lighthearted jasmine, rose juliette and crisp citrus capture the romantic first blush of spring. Fresh. Radiant. Blissful.

Additional notes include mandarin, leafy green accord, sparkling quince, lush berries, fresh melon, rose damascena, super hedione, musk, violet, soft amber and creamy sandalwood.

Bath & Body Works Blushing Cherry Blossom is $19 for 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (via bathandbodyworks)

Mis(s) Behave is a nice name, triggers memories of Louis Armstrong's “Ain't Misbehavin' ” but the juice seems all over the place. Tonka Bean and Myrrh are file but teamed with Peach Blossom? And Paradise Apple? Puhleazzze

The floral is a bit …fruity LOL

As for Cherry Blossom, this is the fashion isn't it? L'Occitane are also featuring their not-so-new cherry Blossom line, with some new products I instantly forgot about.

No pink pepper though! Is that good or bad?

Let's not forget the Body Shop with their Cherry Blossom fragrance, and also, who is it, Guerlain? with their Sparkling Cherry, Sweet Cherry, whatever line.

I don't know what the deal is with all those cherry blossom scents. The craze has caught on! Blossoms in general are in alot more product scents.

Mis(s) Behave is reminding me too much of Juliette Has A Gun's Miss Charming — although that's partially because the packaging & the ad copy sound very similar to me.

Cherry Blossom is in … in fact, BBW did a Japanese Cherry Blossom themselves fairly recently.

Yes, but most “blossom” notes, like say, peach blossom, seem to turn out to be just the fruit. I think “peach blossom” just makes it sound more delicate & feminine or something.

Also, L'Occitane has Cherry Blossom out right now, too.

Plus Thymes has just recently launched a Cherry Bloosom frag! Good Grief, are there any bloosoms left on the trees or have they stripped them all? LOL. Was in Washington DC on the 5th and there were PLENTY of cherry bloosoms to be had.

Whoops, it's actually called Red Cherie, but it smells like cherries and bloosoms.

Wow, anyone look up Styrax? That is one dangerous note, seems like most of the plants in its genus are very bad for mammals. Granted, its probably some distilled aldehyde, but smelling like such a dangerous plant is.. alluring?
Or just plain reaching on the ad copy?

Styrax resin, more commonly referred to as benzoin, is a pretty common perfume ingredient, and historically has long been used as an ingredient in incense. So not reaching :-)

Just for the record, didn't Bath and Body works start the Cherry Blossom scent? Their original cherry blossom fragrance has been aroud at least since 2004. Japanese Cherry Blossom and White Cherry Blossom were flankers in early 2006…

I wish BBW still had the Cherry Blossom hand sanitizer :(

And also, I too HATE seeing something like “peach blossom” or “lime blossom”, and it turns out to be just peach or lime. I have a body wash from Victoria's Secret called Exotic Nectars Peach Blossom. It smells like it could be either peach, or its blossom. It's not bad, but it's not uber-floral either.

The products in that line, btw, are ridiculously good.

Nope, Guerlain has been doing yearly Cherry Blossom scents since the late 1990s. And not even sure they were really the first — they're just the first I can think of :-)

Miss Behave by Viva Maria was more fruity on me rather than floral and somewhat powdery. For some reason it reminded me of Burberry Brit minus the almonds.

So much for misbehaving then…I don't need BB w/o the almonds!
