Lise Watier Desirable ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 6 March 2008 14 Comments

Lise Watier Desirable fragrance

Lise Watier has launched Désirable, a new fragrance for women:

Désirable is a fragrance with a sensuality that is once fresh dazzling, and bewitching. The expression of a feminity that is young and urban, romantic and contemporary. Desire springs to life in a sparkling, spontaneous fight of sweet apple, honeyed osmanthus, and tart wild berries. The emotion unfurls gently, revealing a subtle nose of freesia, lily of the valley, and magnolia. Like the lingering memory of a kiss, the final note leaves a velvety, refined impression of musk and sandalwood.

Lise Watier Désirable is available in Eau de Toilette (50 and 100 ml) or Eau de Parfum (50 or 100 ml). (via lisewatier)

Mmm, nope, don't think I want any fruits fighting in my perfume. I have only liked Neiges from Lise Watier – but I liked it a lot. This, probably not so much.

I'm afraid “sweet apple” is all you have to say to dissuade me, but this might be perfectly nice. The line isn't easy to find in the US anyway, so not likely I'll get to try it.

I don't like the purple haze coming from the bottle in the ad. It looks like the purple clouds created in the explosion of nitrogen triiodide, or like smog on a summer day. I don't want my sillage to kill people.

also, I love tart wild berries, but sweet apple is not really up my alley.

Think I might like it. Sounds very nice and feminine. Would have tried it if I could.

LOL — I liked the purple haze, but I'm so susceptible that now I'll think of it as toxic.

Who is Lise Watier, and why does she make fruits fight?
    Sigh-another fruity floral.

Lise Watier is a Canadian cosmetics brand, and I understand very well known in Canada, obviously less so in the US. I would imagine the fruits are supposed to be in “flight” and that someone will fix the error on their website eventually — I did not correct it since I have no way of knowing what they want to say.

Yes, I read apple, wild berries, musk, sandalwood…and my shoulders dropped in disappointment. Sigh. Another one. Whatever.

    Doesn't warm my heart either.

I'm now imagining oversized berries & apples battling in a purple fog filled alley somewhere.

    It's been a long day…

I don't understand how people can comment on a perfume before they have even smelled it? I just bought this perfume and I really like it. It starts out fresh and fruity but dries down to a more subtle sensual scent rather than just disappearing like other fruity perfumes. I think you should give it a try, it works for me!

Glad you've found a winner! But there are over 800 new perfumes a year, so none of us can smell them all — and I don't see why people shouldn't be allowed to say if something sounds appealing to them or not.
