Next up from Demeter, Incense:
Demeter’s incense is a warm, deep, rich blend of exotic notes. It is inviting and enveloping, the kind of scent that is both simple and complex at the same time. There is no effort needed to appreciate it, yet every time you experience Incense from Demeter you will find new depth and nuance.
Demeter’s Incense is centered on a unique core of Copal. Copal is a type of resin produced by plant or tree secretions, particularly identified with the forms of aromatic tree resins used by the cultures of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica as a ceremonially burned incense, as well as for a number of other purposes.
More generically, the term copal is now also used to describe resinous substances in an intermediate stage of polymerization and hardening between more viscous and 'gummy' resins and amber.
Demeter Incense will be available in 15 ml Cologne Mini-Splash, 30 or 120 ml Cologne Spray, and in matching bath & body products and Room Spray. (via demeterfragrance)
Other recent fragrances from Demeter: Hot Kiss Collection, Egg Nog, Necco Sweethearts.

Your next Cheap Thrill review?
Any idea when this will be available? It isn't on their website yet.
And any idea how it might differ from Holy Smoke, their original incense scent?
If it's as good as it sounds!
Just got the press release yesterday, and sorry but it doesn't say. They're usually pretty quick though. No idea on the Holy Smoke, although I've got some of that so will compare when I get this one.
I've been on an incense kick this winter, and this may be a good cheap thrill indeed. Holy Smoke sounds good too (wonder if it's similar to CdG Avignon). Either of these might be good news to my bank account compared to a craving for the new Tauer Incense Extrême.
Except — the Tauer will last for hours.
Holy Smoke is about the smoke part as much as the incense part — reminds me of woodsmoke from a fire.
I will be scratching Holy Smoke off my list then. Reminds me of the concept of CBIHP Burning Leaves, which I've never been tempted to sample. Like I've said, luckily there are whole categories of scent accords that I can eliminate entirely (and thank goodness for that).
Oh, we're opposites on that score: I adore Burning Leaves 🙂
But yep, you've gotta draw the line somewhere!
I've just been to the web site and it's there today. V tempting…
Aha, thanks — that was fast!
