Bvlgari has launched a new Eau de Toilette version of 2005's Rose Essentielle fragrance:
The delicate and joyful accents of a tender Rose. A young and transparent reinterpretation of the Rose Essentielle Eau de Parfum, with a joyful fruity facet. Delicate, luminous, feminine and comfortable.
Rose Essentielle Eau de Toilette was developed by perfumer Beatrice Piquet, who also created the original Eau de Parfum.
Bvlgari Rose Essentielle Rose Tendre Eau de Toilette is available now in 50 or 100 ml at Macys, Neiman Marcus & Sephora. Note: Neiman Marcus is calling it "Rose Essentielle Rose Tendre", but everyone else seems to just be using "Rose Essentielle Eau de Toilette". (quote via macys, additional information via cosmetiquemag.fr) Update: the very kind Monique of Parfum: Les Nouveautes sent me a picture of a mini; the packaging says "Rose Essentielle L'Eau de Toilette Rosée".
Other recent launches from Bvlgari: Omnia Amethyste.
I found the original to be fruity enough, thanks. It was so very jammy that I couldn't get past the first few minutes. “Rose chypre,” my bum! I do love their The Vert and the original Omnia, so I can forgive them this one (oops, now two!) transgression/s into the deceptively-named “fruity chypre” trend.
I am sorry to say that I can hardly remember the original — seem to remember that & the Jasmin were both pretty, but not anything I needed to buy (?). I don't need fruitier either though!
I purchased the original EDP for my wife(a fan of Bugari pour Femme) and we both like it. It's complex and,i suppose, somewhat fruity at first but after it calms down it's one of the most interesting rose based florals I've experienced. Its obviously in the Bulgari family and one can notice some basic similarities.
She'll have to try this new version for daytime.
Have still not tried the new one, but personally didn't find the EdP at all too heavy for day.
