Hugo Boss will follow up on 2006's Boss Femme with Essence de Femme, a concentrated evening version of the original fragrance. The fruity floral scent includes notes of tangerine, blackcurrant, freesia, jasmine, lily, musk and lemon wood.
Hugo Boss Essence de Femme will launch in August in 50 ml Eau de Parfum Concentree and body lotion. (via femina.fr, fashionmag.fr)
Also coming from Hugo Boss, Boss in Motion IV, a limited edition fragrance for men with Earl Grey tea, cardamom, bitter orange, violet leaves, patchouli, sandalwood and cedar.
Boss in Motion IV will be available in 40 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette. (via fashionmag.fr)
Also look for new fragrances from the Hugo by Hugo Boss range this coming August. Hugo XY for men and Hugo XX for women "were created to reflect the tension between the sexes".
The men's Hugo XY includes notes of cedrat, bergamot, peartree leaf, crushed ice accord, mint, basil, cedar, patchouli and muskroot. The women's Hugo XX (shown) features mandarin, blackcurrant, lychee, basmati rice, jasmine sambac, chloris rose, sandalwood, ambery notes and musky notes.
Hugo XY and Hugo XX will be available in 40 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body/grooming products. (via cosmeticsint.co.uk)
That's it guys, just keep 'em rolling… What's the point?!! The Bosses are taking most of the shop's space with their ridicilous spawn and hardly anyone seems to be buying them since they clearly get discounted just little after being launched. Having said that, the In Motion IV (the names!) sounds mildly interesting 🙂
I am starting to think that the only answer to the flood of new products is to start a point system that restricts individual brands from launching more than a few fragrances a year 🙂
Boss just launched Baldessarini Ambre a few short months ago, and now they're throwing FOUR MORE at us? Somebody make them stop!
Although I have to admit that I am going to try Boss In Motion IV (I assume that's “Four” and not “Intravenous”, because they are not hooking a tube up to me to administer fragrance). I know I'll probably be disappointed, but the Earl Grey tea note intrigues me, and frankly, if they do it right, it could be gorgeous.
The other two, though. Not a chance! A fruity floral for women, and an fresh citrus-herbal for men. I'll pass, thanks.
I've never tried any of the “Boss in Motion” scents. The last one (Boss in Motion Black, which I guess was Boss in Motion III) didn't look bad either! Didn't much care for Ambre.
