Emporio Armani Red She & Red He, Ayala Moriel Tirzah ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 11 June 2007 20 Comments

Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) Red She & Red He fragrancesGiorgio Armani has launched a duo of new fragrances, Emporio Armani Red She and Red He. A portion of the proceeds will benefit (PRODUCT) RED, a project to raise funds to help women and children with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Emporio Armani Red She is a "white cotton veil in the breeze on a summer morning", and includes notes of mandarin, bergamot, blackcurrant leaves, ginger, mint, green fig, white woods and white musk.

Emporio Armani Red He is the "sensation of white cotton slipped over clean fresh skin" and features bergamot, mandarin, rosemary, thyme and white musk.

Emporio Armani Red She & Red He are in Eau de Toilette, and will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml. The notes for the new Red fragrances appear to be the same as those for Emporio Armani White She & He, so these may be the same scents in a new package. (quotes via escentual, additional information via marionnaud, osmoz) Update: the outer packaging actually says "(Emporio Armani White for Her) Red, A Special Edition Designed To Help Eliminate AIDS In Africa", so these are definitely the Emporio Armani White fragrances. Many thanks to Monique of Parfum-Echecs for the information!

Ayala Moriel has launched Tirzah, a "new soliflore in 'The Language of Flowers' collection". Tirzah, named for the Hebrew word for linden, features green lemon zest, mimosa, elemi, frangipani, linden blossom, guiac wood, iris roots, fokienia (siamwood), hay and ambrette seed.

Ayala Moriel Tirzah is available in Parfum extrait only (9 ml for $99.99), and is available now at ayalamoriel.

Yup, the scents are the same as EA White but the new packaging is so cheerful! I wish I'd known it was White in a cool bottle – wouldn't have bought the old one. The scent is great either way though 🙂

This is reposted for Monique — sorry Monique, my page does not wrap long URLs and the very long ebay URL stretched the page:
    Hi Robin,
    How are you ?
Just to say that it is only a Limited Edition of 'Emporio Armani White' (one for men, one for women)
In France, we find its at Marionnaud.
    Greetings,
    Monique (parfum-echecs.chez-alice.fr )

I've never smelled Emporio White, and I really like the packaging here. I hope to find these at my local Dillards or Macy*s. I'm all intriguied.

I don't think they're in the US yet, but assume they will be eventually.

Hmmm…. do you suppose those bottles were meant to have a Keith Haring-esque look about them? He was so active in HIV/AIDS awareness.

Here is what little I know:

“In developing his collection, Giorgio Armani collaborated with Ghanaian contemporary artist Owusu-Ankomah, whose art is featured on clothing, accessories and packaging in the Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED collection.”

Is this available in the US yet, as I haven't been able to find it anywhere, not even online.

So far, have only seen online in France. Haven't looked for it in person myself.

    Robin, Hi!
    I have a question:
How long do you think this stuff lives in an open bottle if you can say open about this capless bottle?
I'm asking because I'm obsessed with this fragrance so I buy every little bit of it everywhere I see it. But unfortunately they don't sell it here in Russia and the only thing I can get is a tester. Alredy been used tester. So I think wheter my 200 ml in few different testers won't go bad in about 2 or 3 or even 5 years before I use them. I have other perfumes to use too you know 🙂

You know, it is so very hard to predict how long a perfume will last. Some literally go for years & years, some seem to turn quickly, and unfortunately I have no personal familiarity with this scent.

But you do understand it's the same as Emporio Armani White, right? It's just in a different bottle. Maybe you'd have an easier time finding the White?

Yes, but the white was discontinued 2 years ago and chances to find it now are pretty minimum.

The thing is that in a glass bottle fragrances live longer – my Mania and Sensi are almost five years old and they still like new , but I'm afraid that under this metallic can there is a plastic container… like in Ryokos collection from Kenzo…

Ah, very sorry, I either didn't know or had forgotten that White was discontinued.

Unfortunately I tried this a few months back when it came to Australia and it was nothing like my Armani White He fragrance 🙁

This was really disappointing as I wanted to stock up on one of the few fragrances that I've found that doesn't smell cheap or like an atomic bomb went off.

Alas, this new packaging seems to bring a new fragrance, which would not have been bad in itself. But this fragrance is very overpowering and nothing like the subtle drench of warmth of the original.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I can't remember what year White came out, but everything on earth has been reformulated in the last 5 years, so not surprising.

It's really strange. The White version was almost my signature scent and RED version for women doesn't seem do be different at all
