Parfum d'Empire has launched two new fragrances, Iskander and Cuir Ottoman. Iskander is a chypre fragrance with notes of citron, grapefruit, tangerine, tarragon, coriander, orange blossom, moss, musk and amber. Cuir Ottoman is a leather fragrance with notes of iris, Egyptian jasmine, styrax, tolu balsam, benzoin and incense. (via osmoz)
Sonia Kashuk will release 3 new fragrances, Ginseng Blossom and Tuberose, White Gardenia and Black Vetiver, and Citron and Pink Mandarin, this month at Target stores. The scents are "more complicated" versions of solid perfumes released earlier this year.
Look for the next fragrance release, as yet unnamed, from Sarah Jessica Parker in 2007. (both above via Women's Wear Daily).
Cuir Ottoman was not as strong as I thought it would be. The leather scent is light and the jasmine is noticeable. I like it.
Iskander was pleasant, definitely citrusy, and the drydown was a pleasant light amber and musk.
The whole line is very nicely done, and I'd call all of them pleasant, but so far, none of them have really grabbed my heart.
Cuir Ottoman is so nice for someone who likes this pure leather odor. An hour after the application it undergoes into transformation and it reminds me of Black. It’s lasting power is very good in comparison with my Black EDT.
