Oh, JOY!!! At last I can replace my Ambra del Nepal without that anxous transatlantic wait! I scoured all the London stores for iPdF last year – maybe someone took notice. I am SO Happy!

And how is 'Dove' pronounced – do you know, R? I thínk Roja is pronounced like Roger, but is it Duv or Doavie? I mean, I'd hate to meet the man (fat chance) and mispronounce his name!

N, I'm afraid I have no idea at all! And since I mispronounce everything, I will have to hope I never run into him :-)

Pretty sure it's 'Duv'. I'll ask next time I'm in the Haute Perfumerie. Guess I should've given the SA my number after all, I might've saved myself a trip ! ;)

Sorry to be curmudgeonly but that news about iPdF doesn't sound positive to me at all if Isabella Imports is involved. Looks like we'll be getting US pricing and presumably iPdF won't be able to sell direct to the UK anymore. Remember – in Italy these fragrances cost around $20, not $70+

Daruna – I'd love to order direct from Italy; is there an email address? There's an Italian phone number on the packaging, but I'm too scared of not speaking Italian to ring it!

Also, I emailed Selfridges, and they said they don't stock Ambra del Nepal, but that Harvey Nicks do…very curious.

I thought HN had Il Profumo but not i Profumi (?)

Curmudgeonly is fine, I'd rather pay $20 too. But keep in mind that we'd never know about iPF without Isabella Imports. I do not know enough about distribution arrangements to judge whether their price is fair or not, but I have no reason to think it is not or that it is any worse than anyone else's markup.

the website is http://www.erbitalia.com. Doesn't work with Firefox and you need to have cookies enabled.

I would guess that II are probably paying iPdF $10 or less per bottle so honestly, I'd find $50 fair, but $70 rather less so.

Possibly you are right, but it is also possible that given how cheap they are to begin with, II doesn't get any discount at all. I've no idea! Wish I had a trip to Florence coming up though.
